This is a good thread but I'm going to ruin it by saying I'm sick of being realistic, let the Mittals get their cashcard out, buy us safety this year and go mental for it next. just once in my lifetime let us win something big!

Not sure I really mean that (would like there to be a club for me to take my as yet non existent grand kids to, but bloody hell it's tempting.....

I sent one directly as he did a wonderful job getting out of that league I state again that if any of the teams currently below 8th went into the championship they would find it mega hard even with their current teams
The football is the closest to the original English game

I ask all fans here to spare the over reaction when results are disappointing. Look at the bigger picture, do we look stronger, fitter, sharper and do we play to a system that utilizes our strengths. Thoughts!!!![/QUOTE]

Like SellRodSellGod has pronounced this is another over reaction/have go at Neil thread, and then you end up asking us to spare overeaction about disappointing results under MH. Why do you overeact in the negative way to being on target with Neil, but exhort us to look at the bigger picture with Mark?

I am a big NW fan. I thought he was an incredible signing for us. His knowledge of the Champ and what is required to get promotion is probably unmatched. Last June i questioned if NW had the experience to keep us up. It was a genuine question. Surely i was entitled to ask this relevant question without taking criticism and being called a NW hater. I asked this question because he has spent the vast majority of his managerial career in the lower divisions. His previous Prem experiences resulted in relegation. It was therefore a reasonable question to ask. For me this is very simple, nothing or nobody is bigger than our club. I was genuinely delighted that NW stuck with us last summer. He fully deserved to have another crack at the Prem with us. The problem was not necessarily just our results it was our performances. For the last couple of months our team looked disjointed. We were playing like strangers. Some of our players were playing well below par and looked disinterested. Some of NWs decisions in relation to player selection, formations, tacticts etc etc were poor at best and there is no doubt that we were sliding rapidly back to the Champ. NW looked like a lost child in his interviews and to be honest he was starting to look way out of his depth. As a QPR fan it was becoming painful to watch our team and manager underperforming.I really had hoped that my fears would not be realised. As if NW failed then our beloved team would obviously be in trouble. I took no delight in NW failing and refute any suggestion by others here that this thread is again having a pop at NW. I thank him for the wonderful job he did last year. he will always be a QPR legend. As a fan, i am entitled to my opinion. As are you all. I am now giving mine. Our team was underperforming and NW had to go. Take the emotion out of it and the decision was simple. I posted this thread because i felt that although there is renewed optimism around our club and the media are having a field day linking us with every player under the sun, i think that MH has a really difficult job ahead. I think we do need to be realistic because we may find it very difficult to get new players signed before the deadline. MH will still have a poor overall squad and points are going to be very difficult to pick up in the coming weeks and months. It will also take time to gel any new players we do get and get the team playing to his style. IF and i still think its a big IF, he manages to keep us up he will have done a great job. I just was asking fans to keep this in mind over the coming months and not to take safety for granted just because we have a new manager and possibly some new players.
If you disagree with this, then thats fine. I will respect your opinions. But, i am not or was never a NW hater. I just asked what i felt was relevant questions. The fact that NW was sacked gave me no pleasure. As i said above, for me the decision was simple. Nobody is bigger than our club. MH too will be judged on our performances.
