'Steve Bruce is poised to become Newcastle Unitedâs next boss â with Toon owner Mike Ashley ready to sack Alan Pardew this week, writes Neil Moxley in the Sunday People'. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-poised-sack-alan-pardew-4255884
Made up bollocks with no substance whatsoever. Bruce wouldn't want it. Shearer has no experience. (I'm not counting the time he got Newcastle relegated). Lazy journalism which a stubby fingered, keyboard mashing chimp could write.
2+2=5 No quotes, no evidence, no idea where the Shearer as no.2 came from. Just some lazy journalist spouting an opinion. Not worrying about it.
why do all these ****-stirrers think that steve bruce is stupid enough to defect to a crap newcastle team in mid season where he can't sign any players and the fans hate him for managing sunderland when he's on the brink of taking another club with a team he's chosen to its highest ever league placing?
I can see some possibility in this. Pardew is treading a really thin line, Bruce can't be overly impressed with all the name change, stay or go bollocks.
you're a no-brainer. my money says if it did happen, which it won't, you'd be straight on here blaming those that don't want the name to change. look what happened to peter taylor's career when he took advantage of a similar situation.
This is fantasy! Steve Bruce, would join newcastle, but not with mike ashley there and not with pardews players, For one mike ashley is a terrible chairman atleast Allam gives bruce the reigns! ...also if bruce was to go, it would be at the end of the season, when he can use the transfer window! and the biggest factor that shows this to be nonsense is the fact he has brought ben arfa to hull, imagine bruce going the other way, that wouldnt go down well with ben arfa or the newcastle fans would it ha!....absolute rubbish story with no substance!
Reasons he wouldn't go : 1. He is building something special here - from the academy upwards 2. He has a great relationship with the owners 3. He has and will retain the backing of the owners 4. He loves the playing squad he has got 5. Expectation levels would be immense at Newcastle 6. Who would want to work for Mike Ashley?
Steve Bruce would be off like a shot, you wouldn't see him for dust. Make no mistakes about it he'll be absolutely SEETHING right now that allam is once again sticking his nose in and attempting to derail ANOTHER season with this utter nonsense. He deserves better then having this circus sideshow constantly lingering over him.
I think you're wrong here. The only people getting upset about the name change are the fans. If bruce is left to do the job he's here to do, do you think he cares what the company is called. Bruce is an employee, not a fan.
haha Allam sticking his nose in! You need your head screwing on son! ....do you know what mike ashle is like? ....sells your best players, pressures you, and gives very little funds to spend! This isn't happening anytime soon, trust me! unless we put in another performance like we did against villa ha! ....he has a lot of work to do at newcastle and its too early in season, bruce is a good manager but a manager is sometimes only as good as his players, he'd fail at newcastle with the players they have!
Moyes is evens for Newcastle job, Brucie 8/1. Eddie Howe and Uwe Rosler are 6/1 joint favourites for city job.
if you think the debate is about what the company is called, i suggest you rewind 12 months and read everything again, because it isn't.
Me again. Possible scenario; Newcastle sack Pardew. Newcastle approach City for Bruce. Bruce is interested, but also acknowledges the backing he has got here and the team he has been allowed to build. Bruce refuses to rule a move out. Allams get twitchy. Allams realise that if Steve Bruce slips from their grasp, then they really are f**ed. Steve Bruce realises his position of strength, says he'll stay if given a better contact and guarantees the name change will be dropped. Allams agree as terrified. Win-win for everyone. Yeah?
