Watched the end of season dinner video last night. My word, the audio production was awful. Mics weren't working properly, there was feedback and the speakers when playing walk up music and stuff were pushing out too much volume and the sound was clipping and the bass overdriving.

If I ended up having a show that went that badly at work we'd have to credit money back to our client and remove all the audio equipment etc off their order. It was terrible, so bad I just wanted to be able to jump in and fix all the audio issues. It's like they didn't do a sound test at all!

If we splash out silly money to sign Rowe and bench him, all this will have been worth it.

    Is it Goodbye Omari?
Anyone else see this on Instagram?

I would be very sad to see him go. Perhaps he is hedging his bets, a fine young man, one of the few genuine prem players. Off with Chelsea on US tour.

Perhaps San Diego can have a word with him!

    This is the sort
You will get a lot of this sort of nonsense. Even getting way from the fee, Nketiah is on £100k a week and Smith-Rowe £50k a week. They would, want at least that if they came to you along with a 4 year no relegation clause contract. As we have seen in the past, who the lazy journalists say you are going to sign and who you end up with are in two different levels. As others have said the gap between the Championship and the EPL is wide and getting wider - you just need to enjoy the ride and enjoy watching some of the worlds best players. I genuinely wish you good luck but I fear you will need it in abundance.

It doesn’t really mean anything. He’s Chelsea’s player. He’s already gone. He went back to Chelsea directly after the awards dinner and before the lads all went out with Ed Sheeran and went on holiday.

It was already ‘goodbye’, maybe it will be ‘hello’ again later in the summer. To be honest with you, I’d be buzzing for him to get in the Chelsea first team. Will only be a shame if he stays at Chelsea and doesn’t get minutes or goes out on loan to a mid to bottom Premier League rival.

Looks like a goodbye to me. Would love to see him in a Chelsea shirt at Portman Road next season (if we can’t have him) he will get an unbelievable reception if he returns - fully deserved. For a young player, has his head screwed on the right way as it was always about the team and never the individual. Hopefully he can go on to have a fantastic career

Quote from Ashton on the contrast with how we were when he took over.Such a refreshing change from the days where ,if we produced an even remotely useful player, they were off at the first opportunity.

“It felt like a selling club. We’re not a selling club now and that’s where the investment and the shareholders and the backing of that board and backing of that group is key because if someone tries to take a player from this football club, 1) it’s not going to be easy, 2) it’s going to be a very big number and 3) right now, I’m not sure any player wants to leave this football club.”

De Zerbi out at Brighton. They play a more similar style of football to us - any chance McKenna might go there? He’s bound to be linked

Maybe he’ll go. You can’t worry about it. It’s going to always be on the cards if a manager is successful. Chelsea’s best days under Mourinho were over in a flash and the mighty Barcelona couldn’t hold onto Pep.

No way will he go, I'd say a backwards step, we are on the up, Brighton have peaked and on their way down, they are a selling club, that will be in the championship within the next 3 years!!

I'm not relaxed. A team who've been in PL for several seasons, one with record profits this season. Couldn't be a better fit for him as a step up. He'd be gone if we were still in Championship, some question marks now but I do thinks its a strong possibility we'll be looking for a new manager.
