We should really have gone out to destroy them few weeks ago. But then again, another side that we showed too much respect.
May be they were better then and now on the slide. And United are now better than they were at the beginning of the season. Are the current spurs (which destroyed us at OT) much better than we are now? Never compare results between different teams especially when they are separated by months ! :D

Nope! The manager was doing a poor job getting results out a great team. That Arsenal squad should never beat United. Chelsea squad should have actually been easier to beat then because one could argue that they were still blending in new players. I’ll put the Tottenham loss as an off day with the red card amplifying it. They certainly are not six times better than us.

Overall, all points back to the way the managers setup their teams to play tactically.

That is why I say that for some fans OGS can never win, win or lose. When he starts winning they declare that the squad was good all along and that previously the losses are proof that the manager didn’t use the resources wisely and got tactics wrong. So a winning run is not to the credit of the manager but the players showing that they were good all along despite the manager. Loses are down to poor management of course but wins have absolutely nothing to do with the manager.

I don't see this scenario where Solskjaer can "never win, win or lose". I think that you're painting an overly simplistic scenario there.

Conversely, I would argue that most United supporters have got behind the manager in ways that we never got behind the last three predecessors.

In football, managers become demigods when they win regardless of the quality of the team. And when the team tanks it consistently, manager takes the heat. This is not a new phenomenon. Even Sir Alex faced the same treatment over various rebuild cycles.

This thing about OGS can never win is fallacy.

Not sure what to make of the Wolves game. Going to see how they do against Spurs tonight.

At home, two days after they play Spurs.

I'd say it's got win all over it. Anything else not good enough, we've got to keep winning.

That's bloody positive for us tbf.

I'm looking at the table and the game in hand at the moment doesn't really matter. We have City, Spurs, Everton, Leicester around us with about 2 points in it. And it'll be typical if we fall 6 or 7 behind Livpl after Wolves. We really have to win and are more than capable of doing so.

Not sure what the score is with Wan Bissaka but, assuming he's fit, the side I would go with is;

De Gea
AWB
Tuanzebe
Maguire
Shaw
Fred
Pogba
Fernandes
Rashford
Cavani
Martial

Subs; take your pick!!

McTominay, van De Beek, Lindelof, Bailly, James, Henderson, Mata, Telles, Ighalo

Not too shabby, we can pick two decent sides at the minute.

Please God don't let us do what we usually do when we have a sniff at closing the gap at the top and fck it up in our next match. Pretty please!

Still can't help thinking that's what we did yesterday, in advance. Wrong way round of course but you get what I mean.

We really should have won yesterday, and we can't do that again.
