Being pretty new to MMA and never having watched anything other than UFC I have never heard of Allister Overeem, but that one artical has sold me on what a great fight this should be.

I have always been a WWE guy (sure to get me abuse on here) and can see that putting two stars of different organisations is big money. Strikeforce World Champ vs Lesnar is a dream match which will surly draw a huuuuuuuge amount of interest.

I cant wait... Think this could be end of Lesnar but depends if reem can get up from the takedowns or strike brock to bits before the takedown.
I think its good that Reem has been thrown straight into the "upper" level of the HW division without any warm ups.
Hopefull after SF tourny the HW div will fold completely into the UFC giving it one hell of a roster.
You never know what could happen when lesnar fights simply because of his size and power!

Overeem has been on the scene for years and made his name mostly in Japan. He has put on masses of muscle in last few years by eating "horse meat"?
Before his last SF fight against BJJ specialist werdum (lacklustre from both sides) he was being considered as the best HW in the world.
This in part was due to holding SF HW title and winning the K1 HW Tourny (kickboxing)
His striking is probably the best in the world at HW for power and tecnique but who knows what would happen if he fought JDS...

All in all him signing for UFC is brilliant news!!

Am I right in thinking Brock is a top class wrestler? If Overeem is a great striker the match could really go either way depending on if they stand up and fight or go down and grapple?

Brock is such a big and strong man, it seems freaky to think he can be beat without him just making a huge error.

Overeem is defo as big and strong as brock in my opinion. I thing the question is not reems TDD but if he can get up once being taken down.
Reem is all good on the ground - im sure half his finishes were subs

Overeem is fantastic at scrambling, I can see Brock getting the takedown but being unable to keep Alistair on the mat. I think Brock will tire from repeated takedowns and then get KO'ed or TKO'ed.
