Sad news thet Les has passed away after a short illness aged 86. Thank you for those 21 years of service at BC FC, Thoughts are with his family.
 
Les was with us in our old div 1 days, someone might remember he was given man as the match when Geoff Merrick dislocated a shoulder and Les sorted Geoff out to finish the match, this may of been in the days we only had 1 sub.
 
Football is mostly about the future / next game. But it is also about the history and nostalgia for past times. Les Bardsley was one of the best and in his own way, A BRISTOL CITY GREAT. Thanks Les.
