Thats a well written and interesting article. Les has been a massive asset to Saints.

Don't tell me Levy will now be in for Les! <doh>

I'm more worried about him thinking that we've lost all our ambition by selling off our best players and replacing them with cheap imports. Add that to the manager who doesnt have a clue and if Les has any sense he'll be off up the road to London.

I just hope that nobody who matters reads some of the posts on the Saints forums. Saintsweb is an embarrassment. 3 games we've played that's all 3, and there are some already having a meltdown and calling for the managers head and for Katharina to sell the club. o_O

Possibly Saints biggest asset. I want him at the club until he retires. However, I also want the system that He and Cortese devised to remain after he retires so that another suitable 'department head' and come in and run the position seamlessly.

A very well-written and thought-provoking article. While it says a lot about what Les has brought to Saints, it probably says even more about the blinkered, stale attitude of the FA towards football at every level.

English football appears to be a juggernaut which is determined not to be turned round. Too many people with vested self interests, I suspect.

Succession planning should be a huge part of any business the size of Saints. hopefully Les is applying the dilligence he applies to player positions to his own position.

We're a big club now. Massive. We were 3 points of the Champions League last season. We should have signed massive players and spent big bucks. Got to believe the hype or we will slide away.
