He's had two chances in the Prem to show his class and a couple in the championship to dominate lesser players. In all that time he's had one really good game, away to Sunderland about a year ago. Decent header, decent shot, injury prone, chickens out of the tackle and doesn't like sweating. Sod's law says he will be brilliant for the Swans.
Bless him, must be awful, poor chap. Obviously putting in a shift, playing well and earning a move to a bigger club wasn't an option.
That's what I don't get, we're probably subsidizing his wages still so savings will not be that great between now & the end of the season.
If he could be sold he would have been. Who in their right mind would part with cash for him after the last couple of seasons? There's probably an agreed fee at the end of it presuming they want him (unlikely) and they stay up (likely).
Sounds like he is in the last chance saloon? We'll see how he does, but we have got into a habit of picking duffers this last 12 months or so......
In a fifteen game run he's certainly capable of maybe half a dozen good performances and a few goals to help you stay up. I doubt it will happen, especially with no Euros squad to try and be selected for, but we'll see. It seems your midfield lacks creativity a bit which in theory he has. We haven't seen it more than a few times in a season and a half but the bloke definitely has ability, locked away somewhere.
I was effing at Sky Sports when I saw this deal pop up last night but having read the comments here I'm not that bothered! Gruppenfuhrer Fernandes is banging on about how we are now a team that will build on youth and development so saying ta ta to the likes of Austin, Fer, Sandro et al may only be the start of things. Doing our shopping in the lower leagues speaks volumes about our ambition but maybe we could do a Leicester or Bournemouth and start afresh from humble beginnings.
Sorry son but your club are complete novices. Allow me to introduce myself to you. Yes my friend, for it is I, Lord of the Dud Buys. My name is Queens Park Rangers, Champion to the Old Age Git looking for one last pay day. We can sniff out a 'clanger' from an agents dossier at a 100 metres and we'll pay top dollar I might add.. Make no mistake, were up for any ****** whose been rejected and spat out more times than a multi divorcee. We are masters of the player medical ( Park ), travel agent to those without passports ( Sandro ) No player is too small ( we signed SWP with an extension ) or too tall ( we tried to buy back Crouchie ) or too fat, Adel ............ or too old, Cesar. Player attitude has no bearing on how much we'll pay ............. you want attitude, you want Bosingwa. May be you just want someone who doesn't actually play, but if your looking for an expensive mascot, try our Traoré range. Now, you were saying ......................
