Some shocking decision with the England team: where were Carrick, scholes and Richards? It's easy to say in hindsight what should and hsoul dnot have been done but if Britton was at Everton or spurs then he would have gone.
    Rooney/Welbeck
    Young Gerrard OX Dyer/Walcott
    Britton/scholes
    A.Cole Lescott J.Terry Richards
    Hart

    Subs inc.
    Baines
    Walcott
    Carrick
    Caulker
    Green

Sheffield would not come in to it with Britton, he was still registered as living in swansea where he still had a house and still does

I think Britton would be lost in the current England set up, It was interesting to watch this debate on Sky news I think the other night, might have been the BBC, but the main point was that England have got to start playing the passing and possession game, the way Swansea do, yes that's right, we were used as the yardstick for the way forward for England, and what's more, Leon Britton was spoken of as the Xavi type player that a change in style would bring! So until England start to play the game properly, it would be a wast of Leon's time!..... Oh and by the way, I had the Engerlanders to bottle it in the Quarters, and they didn't disappoint, the difference between Italy and engerland was embarrassing, bit like ManCity playing Brentford!.............. <ok>

It'll be more of the same with Hodgson. A manager who sticks with a defunct 4-4-2 and whose idea of trying to change the game means lumping it up to Carroll isn't going to change things any time soon.

As for Leon, as much as I'd like to see him get International recognition I suspect he'd be on the receiving end of the same kind of stick that Owen Hargreaves was when he first came into the side. A player several magnitudes ahead of his teammates in terms of technical ability and desire to play passing football and thus sticking out like a sore thumb.

Three sideways passes in a row and they'd be hollering for his substitution.
