Leon Best

I would actually tend to agree and with better players around him, you never know how he will perform. People like HBA may bring out the best in him.

 

I just don't think he's good enough and the fact that we're reliant upon him as our best option to score worries me.

 

Not only that, but he would bring out the best in them.

 

A strike rate of 1 in 3 still ain't bad.

I like him, he knuckled down and proved 99.9% of people wrong by getting a few goals when he was needed. I like players that don't moan about not being picked but grab their chance when it comes along. I think next season he'll get his fair share of starts, allbeit probably not as first choice but I'd expect him to play and score regularly against bottom half teams. And he's shown he's capable of scoring v the bigger teams.

All in all, a good season for Best despite his injury and lack of games early on. He's earnt and deserves a place in the matchday squad.

 

On Nufc.com it has LuaLua and Smith back in training but Best down as no return date I think we wont see him until pre season.
