Ray Fearon played a great Othello. He is a vastly underrated actor, but deserved his plaudits for Michael Attenborough's production. Lenny Henry's turn is greatly overrated.
It's not cucumbers it's aubergines.... it's just I can't spell aubergines Were back onto Lenny Henry again now .....see how I did that?
Ridiculous, tomatoes are lovely in all their different forms. Not keen on having them in sandwiches though
There was an interesting show on last night about Bob Monkhouse and his collecting habits. He collected hundreds of thousands of hours' worth of old comedy material, including very rare Hancock recordings. But, hidden somewhere in the confines of his massive shed, he had the first ever footage of Lenry Henry on New Faces. When LH heard about this he was literally wetting his knickers with excitement. They showed a clip of his West Indian Frank Spencer impression, which was extremely ****e to say the least. Just thought I would mention it.
He did a poor attaempt at David Bellamy in rather poor taste as Bellamy had been partially deaf since he was a kid Lenny thought it would be funny to do impersonations mimicking his disability. He also did frank spencer badly, and teddy Pendergast type singer for 30 years.
