He's a good manager but I really, really, really dislike Mourinho. So in our fantasy world where anyone can be our next manager, it's a no for me. I'll take Pep Guardiola though. I think he'll have learnt from his CL semi gubbing at the hands of Real, and when he comes in at Celtic should be able to mix the possession football he's reknowned for with pace and counterattacking skill. He's my pick to take us to the "next level".
Oscar Garcia ? Used to play for Barcelona therefore part of the celtic family so he can **** off anaw. Actually this might become problematic, maybe it will be a six steps of separation from kevin bacon type scenario with anyone mentioned being able to be linked to the celtic family after six or less steps ?
Henrik Larsson has been contacted by a club interested in appointing him as their manager, but his current employers don't know if it is Celtic who have made the approach. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/...ed-by-club-over-managers-job-say-falkenberg/
It's Rangers. We've approached Ra Gerz to take managerial whizzkid Super Ally and they're getting Henke in to replace him. Good news for us, good news for them. It's thought that they'll save several million quid / year on the catering bill.
If it is henrik it will be a ****ing disaster. We need someone with experience as we have already been down the rookie manager route before.
I think Henke will be a disaster as well. I listened to the home boys show the other day and it seemed everyone was keen on him, I could not understand why. They said because of his name he can attract top players no doubt about that but lawell's monetary policy can detract just as quickly
Not a very impressive record in Sweden .--- Falkenberg -played 10 - won 3 - draws 2 - lost 5 - win% 30.00 Hope he gets the job & ****s up big time.
Lennon did alright for a rookie. Any appointment is a risk. The good ones with experience and those who have proven european experience will be too expensive for us. Larsson may or may not be good. Any appointment is a risk. I dont think his record in Sweden is a fair one to judge on. He has been manager of **** teams with **** budgets. He may or may not be good. But thats our market I regret. Much like players we have to unearth a manager before they are proven to afford/attract them
We can't afford to take the risk though. Lennon was only supposed to be a temporary stop gap but managed to prove himself.
I think the board will feel that the league title is a given regardless who gets the job. So while the cl qualification and money may be at risk, with our playing budget getting to the cl is a risk regardless how experienced or expensive the manager is
