Yes goal keepers tend to get away with nothing mind... He's a bit suspect on knowing when to come, but 11 clean sheets in a side that can't keep the ball and allowed 40 note shots than any other team says it all.. Second was krul with 30 less saves and only 5 clean sheets
He's a good goalie, like I said, but he relishes some smashing the ball at him. Having a few weaknesses isn't a problem for us, if our lads have weaknesses we can keep them forever. Dubs will retire at Newcastle imo.
You're just in a bad mood cos of the takeover. I'd recommend putting the phone down and taking a walk
Good luck to Lejuene, I hope we have a call back clause in January for the inevitable defensive crisis we always get around new year. Hopefully he can get some fitness and game time in and come back as when he is fit and healthy he is a great ball playing CB for us. Florian and Schar either side of Fede or Jamaal would work amazingly as part of a back three retaining possession but not sure he will work in Brucey's tactics. Will also be interesting to see how he fairs and if he can get back to his best after 2 serious injuries (to both knees), hopefully he's not a lame duck now. If he picks up the same injury again he'll probably have to retire or go to China/USA but obviously after nearly 2 years out is not at a level to be playing starting CB in the EPL.
True that. I like him and he's a good goalie. Some of our lot have convinced themselves he makes no mistakes, is world class and critical to NUFC. Most overrated of our players by far. He's a good solid goalie who we are lucky to have on our books.
I think he probably makes a similar amount of mistakes as any goal keeper but he see's a lot more action than most in the League so compartivley is probably average or just below for the mistakes he makes. As always with the keepers it's highlighted more when they make a mistake as it inevitably leads to a goal. De Gea last season was slammed for 3/4 mistakes, the West Ham stand in keeper the same. The mistakes usually come along like buses, none for a while and then 2/3/4 in consecutive games which highlights them even more and the keeper loses confidence which bar striker is probably the most important position to hold on to your self belief.
