Just looked at the official stats for distribution accuracy, he's nowhere near mate, for Preston or his 2 games for you.

Very interested to see how he develops though, I've not seen a young keeper hyped like him for a long time.

Your keeper as it happens, has the worst distribution of any keeper I've seen in years, Tim Krul, ****ing hell, every time he kicks it, straight into the stands.

    Timmy bongfoot Krul.

    Ya daft grapefruit.

Absolutely agree. 6 years ago he looked like he was going to be something good, had an element of Van Der Saar about him. He has certainly not progressed and possibly just got worse.

I'd prefer Elliott in goal and to sell Krul whilst we may still be able to convince someone to pay good money for him.

Element of VDS... yeah, they're both Dutch... that's it.

To be fair to the lad, he's got good reflexes and with a decent back 4 in front of him, he's good enough, but with the kicking, you'd have to have a style of football to suit him. He'd do well in a Pep Guardiola team probably, his keepers are not allowed to hoof it further than 7 yards.

Elliot is much better by the looks of him, we can agree there, you ****ing Fig.

What are the stats? Where he finds hus own player or where he wanted the ball to go? For us I saw him showing amazing vision and putting the ball where it needed to be. But it's nit exactly hus fault that the players are expecting mannone or pantillimon style distribution and don't try to get there! It's easy to give the ball to players in your side. Not so easy in a side like ours or in the lower echelons of the championship! (Is that where they are I have no idea!) stats don't tell the whole story always

I never claimed the stats do tell the story but I was interested to see them given your statement. We'll see when he gets his chance, if he's half as good as you lot say he'll be number 1 next season.

I hope he is mate. I've seen him and he's very confident and commands well for his age. Up to big Sam. He's still very young and be unfortunate to be overlooked if he is. Will find out in August I guess

You need to take into account average pass length to get a better picture of keeper distribution though fella.
Pickford averages 15m more which shows that Da Gea plays the simple roll/pass/through more often which bumps his accuracy. This makes perfect sense when you consider united have a much more composed, competent ball playing defenders than that of us and Preston. De Gea would still be ahead I reckon but the gulf is nowhere near as big as if look at distribution as a stand alone stat.
