"pearson may have to be creative with his selection"... good luck with that, just stick 2 centre backs in there...
They introduce a clause in the rules saying that if income comes from a company related to the club then the value to be considered for the Fair Play rules will be the lesser of that amount or the average amount received by comparable clubs.
I don't doubt the quality of Nugent & Beckford, Leicester have a more potent attack wheras Hull City have a better defence. The keepers and midfield are quite balanced. There's no question we'll miss Koren but if Brady (I'd pick him) can perform as we know he can then it will be a close game. The difference for us might be Josh King who seems to be bubbling into quite a player, he just needs that first goal. I would normally take a draw 1-1. But with only 9 games left, a win would be very timely.
But would it be legal? King Power still have to pay us for shirt and stadium sponsorship. Where do you draw the line between a reasonable amount and inflated amounts designed to cheat the system While i agree with the fairplay system i just cant see it working
I can see it working-ish but it's going to tear a bigger gap etween te championship and premier league, not because teams coming up will be weaker but because once they're there they will be unwilling to spend in fear of relegation. But I'd imagine the only way to fix the sponsorship loophole efficiently is to have a cap on how much sponsorship revenue is counted towards the fps. For example each club in the championship can only count £2 million max as income toward the fair play rules regardless of where it comes from.
Again i doubt think that would be legal. I really dont see how UEFA can do it Every way of closing loopholes wouldnt be legal so if teams did break fairplay rules and UEFA punished them im pretty sure they would win on appeal You need to remember football clubs are a business aswell. This "fairplay" rules would never be legal on the high street so why would it in football? While yes i agree with bringing the rules in i just cant see it being able to work

Some of their pre season boasts of promotion and us been no where near the play offs and finishing well below them raised a chuckle!
That's why I hate them both, and then proud fox had the gall to go crying like a baby when we dished it back I hope we win today, we can't get beaten by a cast off manager now can we
Yes, a private member's club (which is what UEFA/FIFA/the FL/etc are) can set what ever rules they want about membership of their organisations and qualification for their competitions and have penalties in place that punish members for breaking those rules. They aren't allowed to prevent the club from receiving the money, but provided it was written into the rules they are allowed to disregard it in their calculations of income for the purposes of financial fair play. You don't draw the line about fair value yourself, you let the market decide it. Say anything from an unconnected source is fair value, if the fee comes from a connected source then you use the lower of that amount or the average/maximum of the fees received by clubs in similar positions.
3 points for both of us from the 2 games this season, probably shows there's not much between the two sides at present. Will be interesting to see who finishes above who at the end of the season. Before today I ruled Leeds and yourselves out of play off contention, but wins for you both today seem to have brought you back into it. Even Derby have a chance, albeit an outside one.
Our season rest on Forest at home on tuesday night. If we win and results go our way then the season is still very much alive for us To be honest i think a lack of cutting edge up front is going to cost you. We just need to sort out our discipline and defend better on the road
If we had the attack to complement our defence we'd be right up near the top, as it is we don't score enough and you can't expect to go up scoring as many goals as we do. You seem to have being inconsistent over the season, you've had good results such as beating Southampton but have also had some poor results. Though with only Southampton and Reading showing real form in the top 6 any team in the chasing pack who can put a winning run together and gain momentum has a chance of getting into the top 6.
Midfield crisis,, jeez. thats the least of NP problems. what a shocking excuse for a team lesta are especially for the money that they are being paid. Nugent and Beckford almost AWOL and did nothing much. Typical NP. Pack the defence and all hands to the pump. Thank god we dont have to play them again this season. How can anyone waste there hard earned watching NP football...??? **** i almost forgot we did until NP thankfully left us. Phew... ......i knew it could have been worse.
