What's the point of having the 9m in the bank in our position? Swansea wont sell Ayew this late in the window and tbh i wouldn't want us spending 18m on him. We could need Lens due to injuries soon. But if BSA has a replacement lined up then get rid lol...

I wouldn't want the money in the bank but Lens is not the type of player that will help us so if we can replace with a more consistent player then I'd snap their hand off

We have lesser quality players in the squad i'd rather let go first. Lens has improved lately, i'd keep him, it's too late now to find a replacement.

i blame the club mate they should produce a pamphlet of whats expected of them, plus it must be frustrating when he passes and the ****ers cant keep the ball and give it away easily with ****e passing, i know it would upset me playing for us we give the ball away far too easily.

A pamphlet? I'm sure Sam is more than capable of communicating with his players as to what's expected of them without having to present them with a pamphlet!!

We may be able to fund Ayew if we sell Lens. Bet that's what's going through Sam's mind.

It's just getting Swansea to bite that's the issue.

If we did genuinely offer £10m + Borini that's a transfer worth anywhere between £16m-£20m. Wonder what straight up cash offer they'd accept - my guess it would take £18m.

I think the price is around 18-20. Personally I'd say the 10 plus Borini is only worth around 15m, and we've already offered that apparently. Rumor has it Swansea still want Borini. So their could still be a chance. Swansea will sell, but they'll want to cover the signing on fee, pay off fee and get a replacement with the money so you can see why they're holding out for top money. Swansea lads have been telling us he's not for sale. Bollocks, everyone is for sale.

My opinion is that selling Lens weakens the squad and while i'm not a big fan of Borini, letting the two go and bringing in one replacement shortens our squad options. The only plus point in that deal is Ayew has EPL experience and will hit the ground running. I'm just not convinced that Ayew is = Borini + Lens + Cash.

I have been totally underwhelmed with both Borini and Lens (mainly Lens attitude rather than his ability) so to get one player in who we know does the business would be ok with me for 2 players who do not give a flying feck for our club

Agreed but as Sam says " it's a calculated gamble" and IMO although Lens is undoubtedly a skilful player I'm not sure Sam rates him that much.
Is he worth that amount? They got him on a free ( great business) and now want mega bucks. Would appear to me his agent is a tw*t and just moves him on when he wants a cut of the fee.

No mate, can't let two go and only one in. It's got to be one or the other not both. But i'd let either one of them go given the limited contribution they made.

    Agree with this. ^

One out and a better one in imo. Anything else is taking a risk with injuries and we know how some of those fragile buggers snap easily.

Just pleased with the deals so far and have more faith in the targets mentioned than in previous windows.

Just thinking about the AJ situation, does the thought of playing Steven Fletcher in the hole grab anybody. He is another lazy so and so just like AJ but he might be suited to the role in the same way, and could be a decent stand in, worth a try or what.
