Better Defensively than Janmaat and Debuchy, that is a massive claim.

Ive said it before, individually we have quite a good defence when looking at Janmaat, Mbemba and Colocinni (when he actually bothers) they are just absolutley rubbish when put together, we never ever have any organisation

Yes he is. Janmaat and Debuchy are fairly average defensively for me.

Danny is tenacious for me and brave. Two qualities I like in my defenders. Debuchy and janmaat are both great going forwards. They allow crosses to come in for fun, never seem aware of what is behind them and not particularly great on the cover. I think if you have two world class centre halfs or play a back 3 a la Pochettino/Bielsa/Gallarado, then you want a Janmaat or Debuchy. We need to decide what formation we want to play. You need a Dier or libero type to step into midfield when required, or sit when required to really get the best out of adventurous full backs. Its the old Brazilian way of doing it. Barca, Spain, Bayern, Germany have used it massively in recent years.
