Surely we don't shrug our shoulders and accept clear mediocrity just because there is no headline act readily available?

Isn't that how we ended up with mediocrity in the first place?

Ole was never qualified for a job of this magnitude.

He won a few games off the bat, yet any sane mind knew he was still not up to the United job.
Yet they employed him anyway!

It's not our job to recruit the right man mate, but we can sure as **** identify the wrong one.

Ole is that wrong one. He needs to resign.

It depresses me to say it but, watching MOTD, Liverpool are excellent.

Klopp would win the league by ten ****ing points with our squad.

Well you certainly baited me into disagreeing with the idea Rogers is on Klopp's level, fair play.

The squad is excellent.

Perhaps light in terms of a defensive midfielder but not enough for a decent manager to manage it well enough to compete for the league.

 

The squad is well out of balance, we have about 8 players in the "attacking" position, **** all in midfield and need 2 good CBs (Maguire and Varane are not the answer).

 

We can't keep blaming the squad, looking to buy our way out of poor poor management...

or rewriting our own words ------> 3 months ago I didn't hear anyone complaining about the squad. I only heard "nowhere for Ole to hide now".

Btw in central midfield we have McTominay, Matic, Fred, Van De Beek, Pogba - granted two of those are **** but I'd still lay money on a decent manager getting more out of that lot.

 

And if the manager tries putting players in their best positions it would go a long way to having it balanced.

 

McT has a lot of improving to do before he's good enough, Matic is way past it speed wise, Fred (i love the guys enthusiasm and effort) is not good enough and Pogba needs someone to cover him and do the work. We have no midfield.
You never saw me say nowhere to hide now for Ole, as far as i am concerned we are still 3 or maybe 4 players off a good team, great squad options but too many to cover the same positions.

 

I was one of the first to say we needed a defensive midfielder, before the window had even opened. At the time everyone thought I was cray cray because my reasoning was Fred was ****. Anyway, the point is that should be the club and manager's job to identify.

Also I think we are more than capable of seeing a marked improvement with McTominay and Van De Beek with a better manager. It happens at clubs and it can easily with them too.

 

So Rashford wide left, Sancho/Greenwood wide right, Cavani/Ronny/Greenwood at CF, Bruno just behind them (maybe with Pogba along or just behind him), where do you go from there?
Who controls and holds the midfield and do you genuinely believe any of our CBs are good enough?

 

Players don't just turn **** mate. Maguire is better than we're seeing right now.

I want to see them been developed by a quality coaching and management team and then I'll be able to judge them.

It's not just Maguire or Wan Bissaka or Van De Beek or even Pogba btw. The problems are easily more identifiable in a defensive role. But attacking players like Greenwood and Rashford and even Martial - their development has stuttered also, but because they're attackers it doesn't get the same attention.

The common factor in all of it is the coaching.

 

Enough already with what’s missing in the squad. The players that we have are getting shttier by the day because there is no fkin method to how they are supposed to play. Watching the game today, I was appalled and felt bad for them. It came down to individuals literally trying their hardest to make something happen but it almost felt like they had never played together before.

Ole is just fking horrible!! There is absolutely no denying this. If anyone still says otherwise, they seriously need to get their heads checked. I hate the fact that GF keeps asking the question - “if not Ole then who”. What a cop out to detract away from the fact that we have the worst possible manager of any major club in England.

Today has been depressing and sadly it will continue unless someone at the club grows a pair and force a change before this season becomes a complete disaster.

 

So, if not Ole then who
