Well I am at a loss as to why we cannot score with the fire power we have.
Leicester well set up defensively to counter us but we still had a lot of possession.
Tuesday may not be pretty but see you then, enjoy the rest of your w/e

Just seen the pen incident again and Vardy went down very easily, great dive, Foster hardly touched him .

Mahrez always scores too, at least he didn’t get one! Oh, what’s that you say? He doesn’t play for Leicester anymore? Who does he play for now? Man City? Oh, we’ve got them next! And what’s that? Er, I'm sorry to appear contradictory here, but what fire power do we actually have ? We started with Success and Deulofeu up front - Success has a total of 4 goals for us and Deulofeu has 2 to his credit. 6 Premiership goals between them. Vardy has scored 86 for Leicester. The truth is that we have not had a predatory 20+ per season man for what now seems an eternity. Mataj Vydra fitted that bill for a season, but the last real striker we had was Danny Graham.

I don't quite know if you are saying that Troy is not a striker, but he did score 19-24-21 League goals in successive seasons. I cannot think that there are that many clubs who have regular scorers unless they have paid the sort of money outside the Watford budget.

 

I rather forget about Troy Frenchie. I will revise that and say the only really successfull out and out striker brought in by the Pozzo's was Matej Vydra. All our best strikers over the years have been products of English lower league football, Danny Graham, Troy Deeney, Darius Henderson, Marlon King etc. I know that the out and out burly centre forward image does not really belong to the Spanish way of playing football, but I am fed up with seeing pretty triangles on the pitch like a second rate Spain. Football without an end product equals zero, and a front 2 with only 6 previous goals between them is not good enough for any league.

 

I only heard the last 25 mins. Didn't sound that good either.

The slump has come early this year it seems. JG needs to sort it out on the training pitch. We have a decent enough squad but the bad run might well continue for a bit longer.
