Glen Murray once again helped Brighton to lead from a set piece situation. This goal came after 15 minutes and Leicester were a man down after 28 minutes following James Maddison’s second yellow card. However, Jamie Vardy converted a late penalty to get a point. Leicester were then able to reach the League Cup quarter-finals by overcoming Southampton. Watford lost yet another home game with Liverpool getting a 3-0 win. Mohamed Salah continued his amazing run for Liverpool with the opener after 67 minutes. A stunning free-kick from Alexander-Arnold and a late goal from Roberto Firmino helped Liverpool overcome Henderson’s late red card. History The King Power Stadium has been a difficult place for Watford with four defeats in five trips, but the Foxes lack the offensive quality to put a winning run together. The foxes have been in a draw in 50% of their last six games. Watford have not been great away from home this season and their poor record at the King Power Stadium is not hopeful. The Watford team do know how to create chances with Gerard Deulofeu and Pereyra having a great run so far this season. However, the Hornets also struggle with conversion of their chances just like Leicester. This Season Leicester have done well to come away from the tragic incident surrounding their chairman with a decent set of results, but Claude Puel’s men have been unable to make a push up the league table owing to a lack of threat up front. In the last six matches, Leicester have managed only five goals and the likes of Brighton and Fulham have scored more than the Foxes during this period. The heavy reliance on Jamie Vardy is a factor, but the club are also missing the creativity of Riyad Mahrez. Vardy’s campaign has been hit by injuries and suspension, but he has still come away with four league goals so far. Watford find themselves once again amidst a poor set of results, although the team will be perplexed about the inability to get some points in the recent game against Liverpool. The Hornets played relatively well and deserved much better than a 3-0 drubbing. The games at Vicarage Road were a crucial factor behind Watford’s excellent set of results in the first couple of months, but the club now have to dig deep in order to find the same. Roberto Pereyra do not score against Liverpool but the Brazilian has five goals this season. Team News Tom Cleverley could return to the Watford squad for this weekend's trip to Leicester City. The midfielder has not featured for the club since January after having surgery on his Achilles in the summer but he is nearing a return to the first-team fold. Defender Jose Holebas is available again after missing last week's home defeat to Liverpool while Daryl Janmaat could also be back after featuring last week for the Under-23s following his recovery from a knee injury. The only confirmed absentee for Saturday's match is forward Adalberto Penaranda with the Venezuelan carrying a slight foot problem. The Referee The referee for this game will be Graham Scott. Scott hasn’t officiated a Premier League game since August when he took charge of Arsenal's 3-1 victory over West Ham. please log in to view this image And finally, just about everyone seems to be pleased to see this man sign a long term deal with the club.
