We have a real chance of making 2 semi finals again with a relatively easy route in the QF of the Europy against Granada and arguably the trickier QF against Leicester tomorrow. Injuries hamper both sides. United could be without Rashford, Cavani and Martial. Leicester will be without Maddison and Barnes. We'll still have Fernandes and Pogba. They'll still have Vardy, Tielemans, Ndidi. If our front 3 are out, I'm wondering who'll be playing on the left??? I'm tempted to say James on the left, and play Pogba and Bruno with Fred and McTominay behind. Greenwood up front. It really does depend on who's out injured. Either way feeling confident, we really should be winning this.
Fernandes. Ironically he played there when we played Leicester in the league. Have Pogba in the middle and McT and Fred behind. Tbh I'd love us to go balls out and play James, Van De Beek, Bruno with Pogba and McT just behind. Either way we got fck all options on the bench lol
TBH i thought Diallo was a RW but the few mins he's played for the first team have been on the left, could be a good game to give him a few more mins on the right.
He is supposedly a RW or at least that's where he's played for previous clubs. I think Ole might go with more experience but I'd be happy for him to start.
Diallo has to be used, especially with some key players having played on Thursday. He wouldn’t weaken the side and his confidence must be high after his first goal. tricky tie but we SHOULD be good enough to go through.
Diallo can play anywhere across the front three. For Atalanta he was played on the right several times, the same for us in a couple of games for the U23's - having said that his U23 goals came when he darted in from the left. Has to het a game though.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I knew it was coming one of these days btw. In a big game. And it won't be the last either with Fred. He's not good enough to play for United. Nowhere near.
We were headless chickens that first half. Once again midfield lack ideas, don't have any clue about getting the ball forward except (as usual) going down the left. All we're doing is giving the ball away. Leicester midfield on the other hand are tactically bang on. They look well drilled and know how to get the ball forward. Change in approach needed from us 2nd half or we're out.
