Because he is so negative, It wouldn't have been so bad with Ayew up top and pace on both wings.

But if we can nick a point then I suppose it has worked.

Looks like Ayew is leading the line in the striker position.

    Fabianski

    Rangel Fernandez Williams Taylor

    Britton Cork

    Fer

    Ayew Routledge

    Sigurdsson

    Substitutes
Amat, Ki, Paloschi, Nordfeldt, Montero, Naughton, Barrow

Its certainly different. 4-3-3, no striker? Will have to see how they do but selection and formation is interesting.

    My armchair input
Rangel, terrible decision in my view, Naughton every day of the week.
Fer's gone off so I'd have picked Ki.
Ayew, still is persisting with him, I understand he's a superb player but he's not doing it for us right now imo.I'd start with Monty/Barrow

I'd have also found room for Gorre on the bench

There is one change we can all cheer about though, Gomis not even on the bench Yay!!!!

This is a very poor team selection by guildo.imo it has no pace whatsoever and why are we not taking advantage of their best player not playing...this game cry's out for monty's pace and barrow.s input. the team guildo has picked there is asking the fox's to attack as we have nothing up front.....

When we have difficult fixtures we seem to start with the diamond to try and settle into the game with it, and then change to wing play and 4-3-2-1, as in Arsenal game.

And they'd deserve to lose too. Sunderland trying to win, Arsenal afraid to lose.

This actually looks like a line up Curtis would send out
the will to survive seems to be stronger than the will to win it all .

Maybe, I Ininterpreted it as Ayew up front with Siggy on the left of center, though maybe you could be right, but I doubt no striker.

Listen you, it's just there to counter the foxes Initial attack which will happen, they will attack from the off.

So what you're saying is, by them attacking, Taylor and Rangel are going to get slaughtered because 1 is now too old, while the other couldn't defend a paper bag? We have no outlet on the pitch, nor can we offer any counter attacking threat.
    We could get stuffed here.

If you exchange Fer with Ki , it would be the line up for Curtis's first game in charge .
A game we played pretty well in and should have lashed onto a point .
Still , pace and a striker would be my route but Guidolin has more football intelligence in his baby finger than I do in my whole body and I will respect that . BRING IT ON !!

I've no idea what will happen here. Looks like a very weird lineup for me and if Siggy is wide I don't particularly like that.
