Was just watching Sky and they are all crowing about Leicester and hoping they win today. I understand that but wouldn't it be delicious if we put in a performance today and rained on their parade? That said, I hope they go on to win the title afterwards. It would make for a really exciting finish if they dropped points today.
We have an opportunity here to redeem ourselves from that shambolic performance against the foxes at the Liberty, and I have a feeling that our boys will also be addressing that shambolic shift at Toon, so not a good time for the foxes to be playing us.
Hope your right Dragon, my last game of the season this one, back to work Tuesday so I'm praying for a performance. I'd like to see us become 100% safe through our own efforts but if the boys, as I think, are on the beach, then we wont score another point this season. We certainly can win this game if they play as we know they can but if we get another dire performance then Guidos time is up as far as I'm concerned. I'm an Arsenal supporter all this week. They play Sunderland today and Norwich next week and could do us a massive favor by beating both. If they beat Norwich next week we're mathematically safe as Newcastle can't catch us now, so c'mon you Gooners,
Agree completely Stumpy, have been reading Fab's comments on the game, just hope it's not lip service, and we do put in a credible shift today, because I too think that Franco's reputation will be on the line today, we need at least a draw, if not a win to prove our lads are not on some beach yet...........
I'm not sure about reputation Phill. If we lose we've lost the top team in the Prem. The only way Guidolin's reputation will suffer imo is if he sets us up to be timid and overly cautious. If we lay down without a fight then I'll be hugely disappointed.
Sunderland one trick pony long ball to Defoe and complete abandonment of the middle when the Gunners get possession is not going to bode well for Sunderland chances .
I take heart from the fact that we have beaten the last 3 top teams we have played, it's 'Red Dress day' today...............
What formation are we playing, have we gone with the attacking formation of 4-6 and no striker or is Ayew going to be up top. Didn't he say he was going to be more adventurous.
No pace on the outside .... as per ..........happy to see Cork and Britton helping the defence , not sure I see a goal in attack ..If no one scores this game I'll be happy , If a goal is scored , I don't like our chances
Only thing I can come up with is Guidolin is wanting to see something in perticular . Once in a while we get pace on the outside and it looks pretty good , then we abandon the idea
