Match Day Thread Leicester v. Southampton. Thursday 19th April 7:45pm

Not sure he’s a luxury player as such. Up until the advent of Hughes, he’s been better than Romeu this season. Just that now we’re in a tooth-and-nail scrap, Romeu is the better choice. People are talking about Lemina as if he’s been strolling around doing bugger all this season.

As Chilcs says, if we stay up he’ll be a big player for us next season. If we go down, he’d excel at an Arsenal/Tottenham type club.

 

Bit weird people turning on Lemina.

I'm a bit upset he's become 'unavailable' at such a crucial time.
He gets more stick, because people know how good he is.
He's going to generate more dislike as he forces a transfer this summer.
And lastly, he has had more good games than bad, but then inexplicably has a massive brain fart that leads to us conceding a goal. Usually when there's little danger or pressure. Bizarre.

Totally agree...He was poison in a few games but unbelievable in a couple....If we let him go I think we'll see how quality a player he is. Or if we stay up and keep him either..It seems the majority of fans round on the one player. It's a collective malaise that got us into this mess

We need some luck. Bugger effort, skill etc just give us a big dollop of luck. Of the good kind.

 

I like Lemina and Boufal, but as much as I hate the phrase, we need that PASSION, DESIRE, GRIT as this moment in time. You know, the **** that made Lee Cattermole and Kevin Nolan professional footballers.

Boufal and Lemina are very talented footballers but proper grafters they are not. We don't have many (any) of those old school "English" type of player, which in my view is a good thing except when we are in a situation like we are in now. But would I take relegation over watching a team with little flair and quality but efficiency and passion? I think I would.

 

It's another Thursday game game that I won't be able to see. So I'm sure we will win this one, it's just the way it goes.

 

If I remember correctly, our last few games at Leicester have been fairly close affairs, with us having, but not taking, some very good chances to take the lead, before being undone by a poor bit of defending.
Can someone please twat Vardy in the tunnel, so he can’t even start the game.

 

Obviously want a win, but well aware that it might just prolong the agony.
