Yes, I really like Yun too - hopefully he'll get a run of games now leading into the playoffs. He's strong on the ball and challenge, delivers a decent dead ball and can also can shoot on goal.
That was quite simply painful. First half was OK, second was dire from our point of view. Could have played on after Leicester had gone home and we still wouldn't have scored!
Very poor again by QPR away from home and I fear we will be knocked out in the first stage of the play offs and won't make the final at wembley .....
Spot on. He had two great chances. Austin would have buried one of them and having taken the lead we probably would have gone on to win. We played well today so I'm very disappointed to lose. That Maiga is a waste of space. Absolutely shocking. I couldn't stop laughing after his second-half chance. Ball put on a plate for him with acres of space to shoot and he just stops and stands with it! Then turns inside and hooks it harmlessly wide. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. He's a fu*king joke
I'm glad that was an early kick off so I was never going to go to the pub to watch it. Sounds like two teams with nothing to play for at this stage? I was hoping BAE got a straight red, sounds like it was two yellows?
Yes considering he cost 6.5m and about 50k a week, I can't think of a player in world football that less deserving of those figures. Mind you, Maiga will take the title if we sign him in the summer.
Rather smug of you I must say. Any team would struggle with Maiga up front quite frankly. We'll look a lot more threatening with Morrison and Austin playing.
Very pertinent point. Although I wouldn't blame big Ned a'tall there, had Dunne been playing, he would have been slated as a Carthorse and all sorts of things. Onuoha had a very good game today though. Ekotto was at fault for that goal IMO.
Only thing i can say to disagree with this is that Austin and some others should be back IF we make the play offs. Hard to disagree with though mate. just had no outlet or gameplan that i could see. We seemed lost for ideas or creative play?
Well............... First up, I agreed with the team selection. We have another game in 2 days time and Austin was feeling some stiffness still from the Forest game. Harry clearly decided to save some players for Monday when we SHOULD have more chance of winning. Having said that I thought Leicester were very lacklustre and were there for the taking, but unfortunately we were completely toothless up front. The Leicester fans were awful until they scored and being out-sung by our lot! The Leicester players were the biggest bunch of diving, whining, moaning tarts I've ever seen. The referee only saw yellow card offences when committed by a Rangers player. Missed loads and was poor. The Sky commentators and Andy ****ing Hinchcliffe - All they did, yet again, was slag off Rangers. It really is boring now. Every time a Rangers player on a booking looked like they may have breathed on a diving Foxes tart they were calling for a red card......almost wishing it to happen!! And as for that twat Don Goodman saying it was a penalty..........**** me!! Green - 6 - Poor distribution at times and terrible ball out to Henry to put him in trouble. Not sure Schmeichel would have let in Nugent's shot!l Simpson - 6 - Energetic as usual. Onuoha - 7 - Getting back to his best. Must stay at CB. Great clearance off the line. Hughes - 6 - Looks much better at CB but lack of pace was exposed for Nugent's goal. BAE - 5 - Played well, but a brainless challenge when already on a booking (or did he do it on purpose?). Yun - 6 - I was expecting him to be quicker after the reports I've read about him. Did ok and made some good runs. Decent dead ball deliveries, but I think BAE is in a different class as a LB. However, Yun should maybe get the nod because he's young and keener than BAE? O'neill - 5 - Did nothing much at all. Looks to have lost the zip he had at West Ham. Henry - 6 - Nearly let them in with a poor touch when played into trouble by Green. Apart from that he played well and did his job as usual. Benayoun - 5 - Pretty anonymous and then git injured. Kranjcar - 6 - Looked good on the ball with some lovely touches and at last looks a little fitter. However he is so slow and that lack of pace means he is liable to be booked for late challenges repeatedly. Maiga - 3 - He really is very, very poor. Subs: SWP - 4 - Looked poor. Zamora - N/A Morrison - N/A - Although please, please cut out the diving Ravel!! If and it's a big if, we can get everyone fit then I don't see many of these starting in the play offs. Probably only Green, Simpson, Onuoha (but Harry may leave him out!), BAE and Morrison would start imo. There's a bit of pressure on Monday now as we still need to ensure that we are actually in the play offs and also to stay in the top 4!!
COL, was it Hughes that got turned for their goal? I thought it was Ekotto? I only seen it once though so I could be wrong.
I think he's harsh on O'Neill. I thought he played well. In fact I thought our midfield as a whole had a good game today.
It was a good move to be fair, but Nugent burst between the two of them. BAE saw his run, but didn't have the pace to stay with him and then Hughes, being very, very slow and on the turn, had no chance of catching him. Ned nearly got across to block the shot, but even his pace couldn't get him over in time.
I thought it was a good goal. Nugent did a lot of work to make that goal and the effort he put in and speed he accelerated too left us for dead. Dont think there is much many teams could have done about that TBH Some posters we have constantly query why we dont like certain players who put in a shift. that goal showed what can be achieved if you actually put in some hard graft. there was nothing technical or skillfull about it, just a decent well worked goal
