Spurs could also have nothing to play for at that point if this afternoon is anything to go by. We need to take this a game at a time until the end of the season as form/injuries/suspensions can affect the way teams play. It's a tough run-in but certainly not a nail in our coffin.
9 May Hull City vs Burnley Looking at the fixtures, we may end up with around the same points as them this match notwithstanding. This will decide it IMO (Sunderland may go down however)
We wont go down. City will i pick up points from some of the so called harder games like we did at liverpool and man city who we was unlucky not to beat.
Okay, let's say you're right and we repeat that by picking up 2, even 3 points, do you think that will keep us up?
Three points would give us 31. Add 3 from Burnley - our best chance to win - would be 34. But we didn't get three points from Sunderland or Leicester.
Have faith....we will beat Burnley and Palace. I think leicester .. Qpr....Burnley will go down. its just my opinon and we all know anything can happen in any game. Roll on sunday .
I don't know if you mean us just getting the job done or us actually beating Burnley. If it's the latter, then March 2013, 1-0 away when Quinn scored a lovely goal.
I did mean the latter and that they generally seem to have a hex on us. In our last 9 meetings they've won 8 and we've won 1. That must be one of the most impressive records from a club of similar stature to us.
Yes, although Bruce seemed to break a lot of those old records that hung over us and beating Burnley was one of them.
