If you're saying we can't expect to beat Burnley, then there's no one in this division we could 'expect' to beat, thus no matter what our run home is it would be a 'worry'.
We beat Everton, Burnley didn't, so evaluating outcomes based on certain games doesn't work. Burnley's problem has been taking points off teams around them (us aside, of course). I agree that we're right in it with a difficult run of games though. Our last 2 games have been a real missed opportunity to be on the verge of safety with Palace and WBA. On the flip side, the difficult run of games could work in our favour as we have picked up some good results against the top teams. Plenty of twists and turns yet!
Garry Birtles was irate in commentary about the Dawson and Bruce bookings. He was so annoyed with Moss. He screamed down his mic on Bruce's "there's nothing wrong with it!!!".
So, if McGreggor just stands by and lets goal after goal in every week that would be OK? Or should we be 'entitled' to expect him to save a few?
Yes, but you make them when you're sober - I'm 8 sheets to the wind after being on the 'Amber Nectar" this evening.
Even after the latest results posters are still saying we are safe and we are not. As for your 'expect to beat' idea, ffs grow up and look at the reality of their results and their run- in. I think that we can only look at our home game against Burnley as a real hope of 3 points and, as they showed yesterday, they will not roll- over - the Boyd hex might well kick- in! Everyone else we play will have a reason to close their season successfully. Sunderland have a huge derby game that could easily trigger their resurgence, football is funny like that. I think Lester and QPR have too much to do, but that 18th position is as open as the Lester goal yesterday. There has to come a point when we realise there might well be a serious consequence of us not taking our chances and 'settling' (bloody hate that notion) for one point. Anything we now do has to be against a seasons form and that concerns me, even if it doesn't you.
No but he thinks it is and when you are pissed you just cannot be wrong, its a given. Drunken arguments are the always the best ones as you have a ready made excuse.
Out in the real world, yes, as it can be quite obvious whether you're drunk or not. On here it can be used like a 'get out of jail card' as nobody will know whether you really are drunk or not.
But that's the case for many clubs. Burnley beating Man City, cannot be dictated by form. We are not safe and I do not hold the belief that we are, but we are not relegated yet and the way we are playing, I do not believe that we will be. We know how hard it is to break an organised defence and for all his faults Pearson does (as we know) set up very defensively. The run in to the end of the season will be a challenge, but I feel more confident after yesterday.
