Full credit to the team - we looked significantly better in that second half. Great attitude, right mindset, and kept going until we got that equaliser. Hopefully gives us a shot of confidence going forwards. Despite the positives, we are crying out for a good back up number 9 up top. Jackson did next to nothing in that role.
Well done - bit of good fortune with the equaliser but thought your creative play was very good if, perhaps, lacking a clinical end - and you definitely got away with one on the second pen incident- - stonewall - but that's the way it goes ... some pundits seemed to think you might fade after that Leeds defeat, but you'll be there at the end on the evidence of what I saw tonight ...
Enjoyable game and we were definitely worth a draw. I'm sorry to pick out individuals but Taylor just doesn't hack it for me,yes he scores the occasional special goal but his work-rate and positioning doesn't get anywhere near Luongo's.Sam has to work twice as hard when he's on the pitch. On a more positive note I thought Wolfenden had a good game.
We showed them too much respect in the 1st half. 2nd half was much better and thought we deserved our pint. Yes, Leicester should have had a penalty but thought we had a couple of decent shouts as well. One in the 1st half for handball - other end of the stadium to where I’m sat but someone who was in the south stand said it was a definite handball. The 1 in the 2nd half was when Leif got to the ball 1st and cut it across and it looked as though he might have been taken out. Anyway, we take a draw and move on to QPR. who plays up front in that game?
I thought it was a fairly even game and on balance we probably deserved a point, lots of good performances but it also highlighted to me the 2 areas we probably need to sort out/strengthen most in January, RB and Striker. Clarke had some iffy moments and we just don't look like the same team when Hirst isn't playing. I thought Woolfenden was outstanding tonight and his performance to me shows he shouldn't be dropped from the team, his positional play was superb. I thought Morsy was pretty anonymous in the first half, like a lot of teams recently though they have chosen to mark him out of the game. I like Taylor but Luongo is outstanding and winning the ball back and driving up the pitch and also Morsy looks a different player when he's on the pitch, whether it was Luongo coming on or there being more space Morsy really grew into the later stages. I thought Harness had one of the best games I've seen, I've always thought he's great off the ball and takes up good positions but tonight he was also superb on the ball. Leicester are a good team but just a reflection I thought Vestergaard and Faes were superb defensively and was clear that Leicester have built there success on.
A really good game to watch and a brilliant atmosphere from a full house at P R, we didnt really get going until the second half then the boys really went for it, ok a double deflection could be called a fluke but it was a deserved goal for us to share the points against a good Leicester team. One criticism is that the subs should have come on sooner, Hutchinson made a hell of a difference when he came on and with more time we might have got a winner but i cant complain too much. What did we learn ? That Hirst is out for the rest of the season so we desperately need a quality striker, Jackson is as useless as ever, Harness is improving and really got involved, Broady has gone backwards, and Burns looks jaded and not up to his early season form.
I thought the battle between Burns and Faes was a really good one, Faes played superbly but Burns really put him through his paces which meant he struggled when Hutchinson came on. But you were right Burns looked jaded by the end and probably could've come off a little earlier To be fair I thought Burns, Chaplin and Harness had decent games, it was probably our most effective part of the team but they tired and Harness probably should've been sent off, otherwise I would've probably kept Harness on as he looked good. The biggest changes for me was the combination of Ndidi went off and Luongo came on as it allowed Morsy to step up his game.
I can understand why the subs were made later than normal. We were still competitive and the energy for the press was still there. McK didn't want to upset the rhythm when it looked like we could score. Then the energy just dropped off, the press wasn't there anymore and Leicester started to pop the ball around at the back at a time when we needed the ball back quickly. The subs were made, the press returned and the result was earned.
