So scoring no goals means your not a striker? No, it just means you're a **** striker.

Phillips scored 6 goals in 14 games (many as a substitute) including the goals that got them into the play-offs and the goal that got them promoted, but I guess none of that's significant either. <whistle> <doh>

How does it? By their stats Gedo, Boyd, Aluko and Campbell all would've easily got double figures if they'd been available for their respective clubs a full season. In terms of goals per game or per minute someone like Gedo's record was far, far better than Nugent's, yet he's not 'decent' because he only played 12 games, most as a sub?

Jordan Henderson got more goals than Coutinho this season, I guess Henderson is decent and Coutinho isn't, don't worry about the small matter of Henderson playing about three times as many games ...

Over the course of the season all your strikers and Cardiff was crap

Before you say they wasnt there long enough to get double figures. We signed Chris Wood in Jan he still scored 11 goals despite a 11 game barren run

Simple fact is all your strikers are **** and they have been for years

The "goal that got them promoted" was a penalty which is not really pertinent to this conversation. <whistle>

Besides which, we all know that players have a very high percentage probability of scoring from a penalty, unless they are English, of course! :emoticon-0105-wink:

You only have to ask Leicester fans that scoring from 12 yards is by no means a foregone conclusion...

<laugh> <laugh> Bitter much? <laugh> <laugh>

If indeed all our and Cardiffs strikers are **** and your 2 are as brilliant as you claim the rest of your team must be a real sack of ****, which seems odd considering you claimed to have the best 'keeper, defender and midfielder in the league. <laugh>

Wood got 9 league goals, so only double figures if you count mickey mouse competitions, therefore, by your logic, he is not 'decent'.

Agreed but the topic is not who has the best/most effective penalty kick taker.

The topic is really about who scores goals from open play. Maybe not stated implicitly but this is not about penalty kicks.

Never really understood this argument, a penalty is a goal like any other. Where do you stop? Don't allow goals direct from free-kicks, what about headers from set pieces or if you score directly off a corner? Ultimately a goal is a goal.

Crikey, what is it with Leicester? Moaning about penalties because their rubbish players can't even score these! Bottom line, if Leicester had a quality striker banging in 25 goals (of which 11 pens) then automatic promotion would have been a given. I stick by my point, Pearson simply cannot get the best out of his squad, which is way better than Hull, and it shows. Hopefully the King Poo guys stay patient and give Pearson an eight year contract!!

Yet for some reason Leicester fans rate Pearson. Personally I think he is one of the worse managers in the league, to not be able to get promoted with the squad he has is abysmal. How they can continue to support that man is beyond me, just cannot get the best out of players

Fair play, if you don't get it, you don't get it and sounds like there is not a whole lot anyone can do to explain it to you.

<cheers>

If he didnt have to work under restrictions thanks to Sven then we would have gone up by now. Sven ****ed us over with players like Beckford

I disagree to be honest, Sven was years ago mate. How many players has Pearson bought I ask you?

We cant get rid of the **** players Sven gave massive contracts to

Wellens, St. Ledger, Gallagher, Danns are on about 20K a week

Beckford and Konchesky are on around 30K

There all crap

Add to that King and Nugent are on more money then there worth

Gods knows how we got rid of Matt Mills and we had to massively under sell Sol Bamba because his wages were miles too high

Thats not the point, you guys are always going on about how you have the best player in the league in almost every position. Schmeichal, Morgan, Da Laet, Knockaert, James, King and Wood are all examples of how your fans talk about how you have these great players in these positions. If true then he should be doing better than he is.

And my question was how many players has Pearson bought? A huge amount, that is very much his squad now and he has had enough time to at least show some progress yet, at least from the outside looking in, he has not shown any progress whatsoever. Maybe it is more a sign of the fickle nature of leeds fans but if it were leeds, fans woulda been calling for his head a very long time ago. You need to see progress on the pitch especially given the amount invested in your squad.

A genuine question, how much longer do you think your owners will stick around without getting to the prem?

To be fair Us Leeds fans turn up and expect to win every single game (even though we are ****) whereas fans of teams like Leicester think a point here a point there 3 points there and are happy.

small club mentality that I am glad I have never experienced :)

And hows the Billy big bollocks mentality working for you?

Just to let you know, your top goalscorer this season was David Nugent with 16 goals. Beckford scored 15 goals in his first season with you

He then scored 9 goals for huddersfield in what was basically less than half a season of appearances for them, not to mention he got double figures in his only season in the premier league. I can understand if you wouldn't want him in your first team but I don't know how a championship team can be so desperate to get rid of a player like that especially considering that I have seen many on your board wanting another striker, no offense but your back-up strikers are **** for a club that has spent the money you have but your getting rid of Beckford. That to me would make me question your manager's abilities to control and get the best out of players. Admittedly some players are just too far gone but Beckford has proved that he is more than capable

Two issues I have with the first sentence.

Nugent was our top scorer this season and last.

Nugent scored more league goals this season than Beckford ever has in the Championship.

Beckford only got 9 league goals last season.

Apart from that, yeah, lets keep the lazy ****.

Got us nowhere mate but I still go expecting to win every game even with Micheal Brown and Danny Pugh playing at centre mid together haha
