You never hear any world class footballers speak of Pearson so highly like they do Sven eh ? And what did your team deliver to your fans last season ? Misery and relegation. Bet it makes you really proud eh And that is very much in the presence ! How could he have failed with Man City when he took them to their highest league position for years, it was only some corrupt Chairman who wanted someone else, and before you bang on and say he was from thailand, it was because of him that the PL/FA wanted 'Fit and proper' persons to run clubs hence why they've sanctioned our fantastic board. Pearson will never be fit to lace Svens boots whilst his arse points downwards
I hate these pointless Ya-Boo threads. Leicester have got a decent team, their manager has been successful elsewhere and in the past but his best days do seem to be behind him. Their owners are apparently wealthy but this hasn't been reflected in the team's performance on the pitch and can't be seen as a guarantee of future success. Personally I'd rather see them in the playoff positions than some other teams that are currently in contention but, despite some of the more aggressive postings on here, they do seem to have slipped form a point where they were actually above us in the table and are now below us. Not a great deal to get quite so excited about really. I'm very happy with Nigel Pearson - he's clearly a manager on the up and, by the time he's Sven's age, I think he'll be able to look back on an equally succcessful career.
Oh yeah, sorry. I forgot all about Leicesters glory days in the last couple of seasons... Well, he got more money than anyone else had got before him, that didnt make things worse, eh?
I don't think that it was going to take a tactical genius to get out of League one with the squad we had. Having said that, we're grateful, but we're much happier now with Sven.
William Orr - 1928/29 Runners Up (old) 1st Division = highest ever finish for Leicester City. Matt Gillies - FA Cup Runner's Up 1961 & 1963, League Cup Winner's 1964 & Runner's Up 1965' Martin O'Neill - League Cup Winner's 1997 & 2000, Runners Up 1999. Nigell Pearson - Greatest win ratio of any permanent Leicester manager And these previous managers of your club have not achieved as much? One of the biggest names your club has seen in it's history! But, from the list above, maybe not the most talented manager you have had through your doors?
I'm not really sure why you lot are on here getting so worked up, it was only an article about some of the daft names that some of you lads seem to think you might be signing, most of which are completely unrealistic, it's really not that important. Klose was funny though.
I had a dream the other night we signed Hargreaves on a pay as you play basis and he got injured 2 games in. Maybe I should stop playing as Hull City on the PSP in bed...(says the Mrs)
So based on half a season in one domestic cup competition in which we were beaten by the richest team in the country and where he has taken us from bottom the brink of the playoffs Sven is deemed unsuccessful. Nice one ******. Ask ANY Leicester fan who they would rather have and every single one will say Sven over Nigel.
I'm not remotely worked up, I was merely trying to explain that you shouldn't believe everything you read on football-rumours.com.
Top half much better than expected on the basis that we had won 5 points from a possible 27 at the beginning of the season. Most Leicester fans feared the worst but Sven has achieved nothing short of a miracle to pull the team together and shoot us up the table after we were un-fit and totally lacking belief.
I think you wil find that is the same position we have been in. Yet we are still above you?! Also Walshy would be able to find a better way to spend your money rather than Sven on has beens and birds
It is good of you to remove part of what I was posting about, which said, "He's had a ridiculous amount of success as a manager, both club and countries", I take it that the reason you have done that is it does not suit your argument? My post was not saying that he is a failure, but, to point out the successful managers your club has had in the past, and, the level of achievements they gained, and what he still has to aim for, to then revel in the claim that he was a "ridiculously" successful manager!
Were you? Had you just conceded 10 goals in two games? Were you rock bottom in 24th place? No. what do you mean that 'I took out your part'? You were saying about our other successful managers and how Sven wasn't up to their standard which I find totally bewildering.
