Reminder Saturday 9th May - 15:00 Leicester v Southampton : Referee:- Roger East : Assistants :- M Perry & L Betts : 4th Official = N Swarbrick
Will talk to Clyne after this week-end, he has to make the decision, RonKo says he will give him some advices!
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman: "We have the same injury list as last weekend other than the suspension of James Ward-Prowse. Jay Rodriguez is doing the normal session with the group, Mayuka is doing sessions but not ready for the weekend. Things are a lot better with Morgan Schneiderlin. He may be fit for maybe the last one or two, it's more positive for him than a week ago." Will it be last time Schneiderlin plays for Southampton? "I don't think so. He has a contract. Nobody has a serious bid. It's all about rumours. I can't listen to them all or I'll be crazy. More players will be linked with clubs, it's no problem."
Last week Southampton manager Ronald Koeman said he wanted Nathaniel Clyne to decide on his future in 10 days. The full-back is out of contract next summer and has been linked with a move to rival Premier League clubs. "We want to know because it's always the case with players with one season left of contract," says Koeman, who expects a decision next week. "We have to think of the future of the club or team. He has to make the decision. I can give advice but it's difficult."
Southampton's display in their defeat to Sunderland angered Ronald Koeman and his side are now a point behind sixth-placed Tottenham and four adrift of Liverpool. "If we look and see we have the possibility to reach European football you don't, in my opinion, need more motivation," says Koeman. It has to be the best motivation for players to reach a level and have a good spirit as a team. I asked them why what happened last week can happen, it wasn't good enough."

1-1 for me, surely we will play Toby CB, I struggle to see where our goals will come from, time for a goal from a set-piece? Oh yeah JWP is suspended - that would be no then.. Maybe we'll get another lucky goal like Mane's v Sunderland, can always count on a team near the bottom making a **** defensive error.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/12934838.Kelvin_Davis_to_hit_Southampton_landmark/ "Kelvin Davis is set to become only the second goalkeeper in Saints’ 130-year history to make 300 appearances for the club. The 38-year-old is due to reach the incredible milestone in Saturday’s trip to Leicester City, as he joins an exclusive group of players. No keeper in the post-war era has ever made 300 appearances for Saints, with Tom Allen the only one to do so in the club’s entire history. Allen played 327 times, from 1920 to 1928, and also holds a club record for a run of 845 minutes without conceding a goal. Club captain Davis, who arrived at St Mary’s in 2006 from Sunderland, will become the 27th person to have ever hit the 300-mark for Saints."
