Yeh he did, but that was playing as a conventional FB in a back four which wasn't getting too much protection from a midfield. Up until last weekend he's done okay, against far stiffer opposition than Derby.
I used to see quite a lot of Syston RFC, near Leicester, and I inwardly chuckled when a spectator, in his fifties, called out to the ref, in his early twenties, “I think you will find he was offside there - sir”. Totally different world, including spectator rules of conduct prominently displayed in the club house.
And the spectators follow the lead of the players, who by and large give referees total respect, and any backchat on penalty decisions is immediately punished by the kick being moved 10 yards further up the pitch.
I played in a game many years ago when a penalty was awarded against us. It went something like this. Our second row: "What the f--- was that for?". Ref: "OK, Back ten metres." Second row, jogging back "For f---'s sake, ref" Ref "Back another ten" Second row "Jesus ref, leave it out" Ref "Another ten" Second row "Mfffnnmm, Mnghfff" (fourteen players had their hands over his mouth) Vin
I think chaz should start as he is the better all round player than long. Long better at pressing and tenacity, more speed but we have redmond for speed. Neither can buy a goal though. More important is whether the back 4 turn up.
The only time i was sent off in a game it was a rugby match. The reason i was sent off was for foul language. The words I uttered were 'bloody hell' when some clod jumped on my freezing cold fingers whilst playing a game with snow all around the pitch. Incredible.

Makes me laugh how people talk about how rugby is a gents game full of respect, when it is not uncommon for 16 stone blokes to punch others square in the face, stamp on others and even eye-gouge. Anyway - think it'll be a draw at the weekend as we will struggle to score
Nervous about this (so what's new?). Not that we can't possibly win...of course we can...but in our league position it is so important to keep points coming in regularly to keep you afloat, to keep in touch with at least a few teams above us, and also to keep the team and fans' confidence up. So much riding on each and every game is quite frankly unbearable to those of a nervous disposition.
Ralph is defo more watchable than Puel on the whole for sure. But when Puel tells a joke its very very clever. See what Claude does playing to the crowd (below link) then turning the whole Maguire scenario thing on its head in a fashion that ray galton and alan simpson would be proud of. Watch and learn from the master and I prey you are sitting down and wearing a loose shirt because your sides are going to split here...
Has says no for Bertrand, Ings, Obafemi for Leicester. Sam G is making progress, Fraser may play U23. News about Charlie not in yet was expected today.
Missed most of Ralph's presser conference...doesn't usually start early. Only bit I caught was that he wishes Gabbi well....says he is a good player who will score elsewhere, but he doesn't suit the pressing style. Says whilst he wants a replacement....that person has to be right and for the longer term, so this window can be difficult. Saints would make a move only for the right person.
