Good morning on this sunny day here in wakeyland. I can feel the positivity even here from the Leeds group. I do not expect miracles overnight but a gradual improvement building to a crescendo. Come May i will give my assessment on jesse and the group. I want to see less goals conceded and players getting confident once again. Raphina got lost last 2 games as a man can only take so much.Everyone will benefit from a fresh start and a clean slate (except Roberts).
Leeds United squad vs Leicester City : Illan Meslier, Kristoffer Klaesson, Luke Ayling, Jamie Shackleton, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk, Charlie Cresswell, Nohan Kenneh, Junior Firpo, Stuart Dallas, Lewis Bate, Adam Forshaw, Mateusz Klich, Rodrigo, Tyler Roberts, Raphinha, Daniel James, Jack Harrison, Crysencio Summerville, Joe Gelhardt Not officially announced for a couple of hours
Apparently that’s the travelling party, 11 plus 9 subs by the sound of it. No Bamford or Cooper on the bench as some had hoped, Llorente confirmed injured
I don’t expect many surprise starters, I have a feeling if we see a surprise it will be Kenneh at some stage, I’m guessing Cresswell and Struijk at the back, Koch in midfield with Forshaw then Kenneh introduced for Cresswell and Koch dropping back or a straight swap (for midfielder) if need be
Unlike the hardcores on here, I haven’t seen much of the 23s but I’ve liked the look of Kenneh from what I have seen. and a natural defensive midfielder… of which we have Err not very many at the club.
Good morning everyone from a sunny Dublin(sorry for nicking that on you Leeds60). A new era is upon us. I'm nervous, excited and all my ale is ready to go. I'm not expecting to beat Leicester, but a point would be nice. Good luck to Mr Marsch and the team. LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
I said last season that Nohan Kenneh has the potential to captain England. Yes I know big big views, but he has been scary good at times. This season due to first team injuries he has played at full back, CB, DM and AM but in his own words he has modelled himself on Kalvin Phillips. Jack Jenkins is the normal DM for the 23s but imho hes way behind Kenneh. Nohan gets bigger and faster so hes like Drogba wih pace taking the ball off you and capable of great passing. But lets see because his contract is up this summer and a few prem clubs and overseas clubs are chasing him. All down to Jesse now and how he sees things. Could be too early still for Kenneh as he was a 17yo who forced his way into a tight 23 team last season
