Why am I surprised you even posted that? Today the Official Site which normally, and very understandably, puts the best gloss on everything, included this Freudian Slip when discussing the last five matches: "But on Tuesday the boss got his tactics spot on". The "but" clearly implies he hadn't previously, or hadn't always previously. Now that may not be totally fair, but it is the perception. Powell is a straight-talking guy and I wouldn't be surprised if he had actually admitted as much in discussions at the Valley.
No idea why you're surprised. I understand he doesn't get everything right, but some messages appeared very surprised that he got it right. I think he deserves more credit for his tactics, but also think he can (and will) improve.
