This is just case work though and it's stops and starts. Not 11 hours of monotonous walking around a warehouse. Couldnt even have earphones etc

I did ask for another role. But they said no basically

And you know me well enough to know I don't mind a piss take and banter

Since I have been posting on this forum you have never held down a real job.

You claimed to be a teacher but that story over the years turned into you helping out at a mosque and you claimed to have owned a Cuban restaurant and this story has also changed over the years.
You told DMD you worked for prevent or some other made up anti terrorism Stoke council job where you were best pals with the chief of police but none of the stories are realistic and you keep changing them.

If you are going to lie about yours and other people's lives you need to have a better memory.

It sounds lie a backstreet warehouse. All modern places you now wear headsets,.

I did it at a George warehouse, in 8 hours they reckoned you did 15 miles. That;s you pretty much ****ed. I thought it was a doddle.

You have jumped in again @brb will say I was baiting you.

You're confused. If you look back from GC to now from when I joined I have been consistent. Only your narrative changes

I taught until 1998. Prior to that worked in wythenshawe for a bank. Started working for local authourity. Worked for Bolton then back to stoke

Had a kid, who was disabled and took voluntary redundancy around 10/11 years ago. Coincidentally round about when I joined not606. Bought house with money and made money so bought another etc

Opened my own place up for a bit, was council property rented by me. Council sold some assets and built a new Civic centre (moving from stoke to Hanley ) didn't continue with lease as council staff were target audience

Mosque work has been intermittent as and when. Wasn't about the money.

Since then done ad hoc jobs if need money. Usually as I've bought a house and need to fix it up and sell. Once sold sit back again

Oh and this time I also did an extension on my own house so spent big. Also bought a nice car etc

@brb to confirm when he comes visit

It's online clothing. I was picking so you have sticker sheets with barcodes. Also have a pda. So scan item, scan sticker, stick sticker on to item, out in tote. Put tote on conveyor when finished and it goes to packing

Like I said it's different to other warehouses. At the post office (years ago) sacks would come in and you had to read the label.and put into the right cages. On the face of it the work here was harder (sacks could be heavy) but it was easier and more sociable

    Much worse <laugh>

It was trolley with 2 totes (big boxes really) on it. Trolleys have built in step ladder to reach the higher shelves

We loaded the totes and pushed the trolley from section to section, for 11 hours

Best way to describe it is if I go to the gym I'm knackered after an hour or so unless I got good company

But I can play football all day as it's not excercise and mates around so it's a laugh

    This job was basically braindead

The work was a complete doddle. It was just the 11 hours of no banter/talking and walking around like a zombie

The first day was with a trainer and another trainee so I was fine

Have to be honest one of the reasons for applying was the physicality and no need to over think things

You got to remember I spent most of my working life sat in a chair. Last few jobs before this one the hardest thing I did was deciding where to have lunch

From what you described I'd be done in 2 <laugh>

That said if you were there and there was banter going on I don't think I'd quit. I would definitely struggle for a bit but i don't mind hard work if it isn't tedious and boring work environment
