Leicester are a good side (just not as good as us) and would any of us turn down £28,000 p.w.?

Pretty silly really, shows that we wants to play in the championship for the rest of his career and never wants to play in the premier league. He can watch the premier league on TV like the rest of us...sad.Oh well I guess money is more important than ambition.
Hope he does well there,he is a really good striker and should be playing in the premier league IMO.

I would take £15,000pm and a chance to play in premier league than £28,000 to play in championship.
    He must know what's best.

Didn't Sharp actually say that he didn't want to move to the South..? If that's the case, then all he is doing is choosing a similar sized club in the Midlands. Yes, it's disappointing, but understandable. After all, didn't our very own Matt Le Tissier turn down enquiries from one or two Northern clubs, and told them he wasn't interested to live in the North [don't query this, I've just finished reading his autobiography about half-an-hour ago]..? He was prepared to live in London though, after signing for Spurs, and only his then-wife Cathy stopped it happening. Similar situation.

That's a little silly to say that. He obviously believes Leicester are capable of being promoted, either this season, or probably more correctly, next, and that they suit him better. They are probably offering more money too. Our own Jose Fonte actually dropped a league, knowing that he had a better chance of playing in the Premiership, than with Crystal Palace. Did he lack ambition..? And aren't we glad he came to us..?

I don't believe he's the striker we need. I feel we need a presence up front for when Lambert drifts out wide.

Indeed. Any club in the country can do what Leicester have done, assuming they have the money to meet the release clause. It's pretty much a non-story, as Leicester were always going to meet the release clause. It's all about whether or not Sharp says yes to them.

Obviously I trust NA and NC completely and I look forward to see who we bring in but I can't help but thinking we're missing out here. Sharp guarantees goals, has a good attitude and is resonably priced. Seems odd that we don't have any interest unless there's something we don't know to do with the fallout from the fallen through move in the SUmmer

It's a shame but if he didn't like our wage structure then more fool him. Plenty more strikers available.

When clubs are wanting him in the Premier League, you'd think he'd go there.

Yes but they are going about it the wrong way. Spending money on big names only in it for the wage. What they need is someone like the cortese- adkins combo of taking no **** and creating a hard work ethic.

Not this season though. And spending money in itself does not guarantee success, especially when you buy players like Nugent and St Ledger, both flops.

you never know with anyone, he did very well with scunthorpe but was a complete flop with sheffield united, no player can guarantee goals

We obviously have someone else in mind unless we are just getting Tan Lee and that's it for a strikers.
