Regardless of peoples opinion as to his last tenure as manager the man is a club legend and should always be around the club, lets leave any criticism at the door and just be happy that he is back where he belongs.
Can't help but, think that this will be the good news before the bad! Another stadium delay perhaps!!
Nervous about this to be fair. Really hope it is more for the club and the executive stuff and not dealing with transfers. but the king is back and he is a club legend. Lastly......mfg you did it mate, congrats!!!
I would be hoping and praying he has nothing to do with transfers and coaching or anything really, can't you just give a season ticket or something to keep him happy?
Na, this is good. Look at the work footballing wise he did when he came back last time (before being manager again). Edit: not saying he didn't do good work as manager (cup finals etc) just meant at the club but not as manager. You know what I mean lol Rodgers seems happy enough. The clubs bringing lots of old faces in and around. Wise heads and all that. Timing is right with Rodgers well into the rebuild on his own terms. Whatever they have planned for KD I'm sure will be good for the club. If it does nothing else it might heal another wee rift that was among the fans (well some of them anyway) a sense that the club/family is coming together again after some turbulent times. Positive stuff! Ignore the opposition, some of them have an infatuation bordering on the psychotic where Kenny is concerned. He actually reduces them to the state of dribbling toddlers.
In his 17 months back at LFC his 'coaching' won more than Utd's new manager has in his entire career, and yep he ****ed up in the transfer market but his legendary status is based on more than those 17 months mate.
what did moores do as honorary life president under G&h? this is a basic.... right grand kenny gets a seat i nthe directors box at match days rather than staying away type deal... no big deal.
A non-executive director (NED, also NXD) or outside director is a member of the board of directors of a company who does not form part of the executive management team. They are not employees of the company or affiliated with it in any other way and are differentiated from inside directors, who are members of the board who also serve or previously served as executive managers of the company (most often as corporate officers). Non-executive directors are sometimes considered the same as an independent director,[1][2] while other sources distinguish them from independent directors saying non-executive directors are allowed to hold shares in the company while independent directors are not.[citation needed] Non-executive directors have responsibilities in the following areas, according to the Higgs Report, commissioned by the British government published in 2003:[3][4] Strategy: Non-executive directors should constructively challenge and contribute to the development of strategy. Performance: Non-executive directors should scrutinise the performance of management in meeting agreed goals and objectives and monitoring and where necessary removing senior management, and in succession planning. Risk: Non-executive directors should satisfy themselves that financial information is accurate and that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible. People: Non-executive directors are responsible for determining appropriate levels of remuneration of executive directors and have a prime role in appointing and where necessary removing senior management, and in succession planning. NEDs should also provide independent views on: Resources Appointments Standards of conduct Non-executive directors are the custodians of the governance process. They are not involved in the day-to-day running of business but monitor the executive activity and contribute to the development of strategy. In 2011 the Financial Times launched the first formal qualification specifically for Non-Execs. The Non-Executive Directors Certificate is a level 7 masters postgraduate qualification accredited by Edexcel.
Now now just because Kenny was a legendary player who won the league with 2 different clubs as a manager too there's no need to be jealous, Moyes would've given his testicles to have a management and playing career like Kenny's
Booooooring! I'll just say it's good to see him back, in a position where a legend can't damage his reputation with the fans.
I'm hoping its a short stay! Page I know why he's a legend at you club and rightly so but clearly he's not made for modern day football.
