Louis Bours was banging on about how they'd "won the election" (Joey actually has the apathetic tone of the general population correct on this issue, as well as the demographic who actually turned out to vote), and that it meant they were now big players in the domestic party scene. Eh, why the **** did nobody mention that UKIP's convergence towards nationalistic (*cough* ultimately fascist *cough*) policies was echoed in right-wing victories throughout Europe, and has followed this trend after major historic financial recession. You "won" an election (in which most people didn't vote, and those that did were majority older white people), great, it just proves your right wing leanings, not that you're a party worthy of anybodies time, or that you spoke to the issues at hand. Wait til hard economic times, prey on fear, send a nationalistic, exclusive message out to voters of the majority ethnicity, and watch the fallout... Tried and tested method.

What someone should have said is, considering the historicity of this method, and the overwhelming victories for such parties in other countries, is that their "victory" was actually pretty meagre (over ten times more people DIDN'T vote), and I for one am grateful that our society is above this utter claptrap bullshit. UKIP to be buried at the general election.
