‘Off the pitch I am nothing like the way I am on it. The passion I have for football, it’s very different, I’ve always expressed it like that, that’s the way I play, but I also understand that I need to change. Because it’s not nice to be constantly shouting and back-chatting, it’s not nice for the crowd and for children to see, and it’s not nice for me either. I understand that and I think I’ve made the effort to change a little over the last few months.’

So, he is starting to understand one of the reasons why most people who watch football find him an abnoxious little shxt!

Sorry to burst your bubble Diego but 'people who watch football' think of Rooney(and latterly Giggs)in the same way, so you're wasting your time on this board attempting to take the moral highground, especially on a day your manager made a disgusting verbal attack on a Swansea player just because Utd never won.

I didn't see the incident so can't comment on it- but should a manager be speaking like this?
It's not the first time he's set himself up as judge and jury.
    It's not his place.

Fully agree with you on the Rooney part and it is easy to see why non-United supporters feel this way, don`t really think so many feel this way about Giggs as he has only been a shxt in his private life and most people tend to dislike players for what they see on the pitch. Fergie`s comments were bizarre at best and i have no words to defend them.

Fair enough, but as a Utd fan you can't see that your players were ****s,Giggs shagging his brothers wife behind his back or Rooney paying elderly ladies for sex and for 3 in a bed sex in the Lowry hotel while his pregnant wife was at home are seen as disgusting ****s.

Wouldn't be the first time he's set up the judge and jury for the FA either.

Of course i can but that is people, human nature and nothing to do with football. People in all walks of life have things they would like to remain private/secret, how long did it take for Giggs to be found out, don`t judge a player on his private life it may come back to bite you with one of your own players.

"don`t really think so many feel this way about Giggs as he has only been a shxt in his private life" Absolutely. The fact that he's beaten up women is well worse than that or anything Suarez has said, 'on the pitch'. The fact that Rio assaulted a female steward 'on the pitch' is worse still.

Most football fans will find a reason to dislike the best players in the league and in the world <ok>

In many ways the greatest compliment you can receive from opposition fans is to be booed, as it means they think of you as a threat and that you are a good footballer.

Think about it, how many average players are booed at every ground they go to? Not many, if any at all.

Its always the star players. Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, John Terry, Cristiano Ronaldo etc

Agreed, and which is why Swansea/Williams should take Fergie's insult as a veiled compliment, if Utd twat a team hes all full of praise for the opposition but if they give Utd a game and earn a win or draw he usually comes out with bs about an opposition player or the ref to hide a poor performance from his team.

We've had Gerrardgate and a couple of double parking fines pre Suarez but nothing to compare to Utd.

Similar to Mourinho in that respect. Just that Mourinho often takes it a step too far.

Such as saying Rijkaard went into the referee's changing room at half time resulting in Frisk having to retire because of all the death threats he received. Or trying to take Vilanova's eye out.

    This
It seems that he now understands why his behaviour is viewed as unacceptable by fans in England. Whether this will make any difference we will see but I suspect he will remain reviled for his actions and attitude. <ok>

He's trying to show the football community he is a humble guy (which he is) But he has his critics now and always will have ( outside LFC that is)

As for the Fergie part on this thread the guy is an utter moron

As always a thread about one of your own evolves into the repetitive ramblings about Fergie, Giggs etc. Is midtable mediocrity that boring?!

    How old are you?

For a bloke in his fifties you act about ten.

    Pathetic.
