Husky, just ask him did he not see the other 99 crosses that were put in yesterday.

It was particularly frustrating how many Simpson crosses went directly to the unmarked Giant - perhaps we should sign the giant as replacement for BZ :)

'Pass' is a generic term. And although we could play semantics for days, all three goals I mentioned came from wing play and balls played across the face of the goal.

The Hitchcock goal undermines your point, as it was produced by a right-footer playing down the left.

As for the wind-up comment, you might want to take a glance or two in the mirror.

A cross is usually at head height, that looked very like a pass from Clint...

Getting cross usually isn't usually the best way to a successful pass <rose>

Surely the prime use of a cross is crucifixion? Secondary use vampire repellant?

One of the things I like about this forum is the differing opinions but to argue over the definition of a cross is a classic:grin:

I heard there's a player in Mexico called Jesus. He's miraculous with the ball at his feet and is good on the cross too.

    I'll get me coat....

There was a goalie in our pub team nicknamed Dracula, he just couldn't handle crosses...<doh>

Some of these are so old they've got hairs on...<laugh>
