Cannot understand why anyone can have a bad word to say about Kerkar, he is composed and looks a very good signing. I don't want him at left back but that's because he is not a left back. Play him in his position and he is a quality player, this situation needs sorting pronto, we have injuries and need to bring players in on loan and actually play them, i was very disappointed that Razak left
One reason I reckon people dislike him is that he is powderpuff - have another look at Middlesbrough's 4th goal against us and you'll see the Boro player goes past him like he isn't there. Other than that, though, I agree, he's been a useful addition to the squad.
I think that was more because he never lasts the last 15 minutes of games. It didn't happen earlier in the match. Also he and Jackson were marking three players and Jackson had slowed to walking pace by that point. Kerkar's energy levels drop sharply. Now that is still a serious problem because it means that we need to employ one of our three subs just to replace Kerkar every match (which just ain't on unless your name is Fuller), but it is a different problem from being frail in the tackle or chicken. I watched the whole of the Boro video particularly studying Kerkar and was surprised how much good defensive work he did. I can only assume that those who gave him so much abuse after that match were confusing him with Jackson in the melees. He is not exactly a Solly in the tackle, but he is a winger. He is a better tackler than Green because not so reckless, and if not a better tackler than Wagstaff at least he uses the ball better when he does win it. I think there is more to come from him if he can improve his stamina and speed up a tad. His teammates need to work out what he is up to, but maybe he needs to work it out for himself first. If he cannot improve his stamina then he will have to go or spend his career on the bench.
