I cant say it was a great game on the pitch, but I thoroughly enjoyed it all the same.

Our defending stills needs work. Brighton had some right chances to score several whereby they have a clear shot on goal inside the area. Kenny was fantastic really. We could have lost this 5-2.

Overal pleased with the performance though. I thought we looked good going forward, but still lack that bit of spark.

I'm also more impressed with Poleon as he gets more games. He was only given a short run out at the end, but he's definitely useful and I'm thinking before long he might be this season Byram (who btw, I cant wait to get back!).

Massive crowd of over 33K too :emoticon-0103-cool:

We're going to look very dangerous with Austin and Byram back. Not sure about Diouf, tends to slow the game down too much. Might be a good impact sub for the most part. Who knows, we'll see, but I wouldn't be too fussed if he left the club before the end of August in order to get 2 more effective players in.

Still need a proper winger, hope Hall starts to shine or we get someone else in. Someone with real pace, although Poleon definitely looks capable of playing as a winger.

Was in the kop today McCormack defo MOTM for me was our biggest attacking threat all game.

Kenny 8- Made some fantastic saves, distribution could of been better imho
Pelts 7- Was overall good, defended well, got forward and helped out aswell
Lees 6- Was decent could off done better for the goal
    Peace 5- Decent but quiet
Warnock 6- Again overall decent, made some tackles
Murphy 8- Scored the winner and controlled the midfield well, some nice passing, looks worth the dosh
Green 6- Bit quiet but made some decent passes and got stuck in fairly well
Tonge 7- Good runs forward, added bit of steel into it, looking fairly good compared to last season
Varney 8- Was running rings around em, as ever some fantastic headers and great work ethic, good link up play
McCormack 9 MOTM- Fantastic runs, great ball control, controlled our attack, good finish for the goal
Poleon 7- Ran their defenders ragged, got himself into good positions, nearly scored
Smith 7- Got some good headers in, got an assist apart from that quiet
Drury 6- Took over from Warnock, didn't have to do much, got stuck in when he had tho.

Fantastic crowd, think if we get a good result against Leicester we'll hit 30k again for Wednesday.
