    With respect, and not being malicious, there are interesting 'like' stats for the LL / Ristac exchange in this thread. The results to date are:

    LeedsLoner = 0
    Ristac = 20

    A close run thing, obviously, apart from the 20 Wood-like 'accidents'.

    Seems unfair to be picking on LL so much.

    Especially inventing disrespectful names for people which is basically a form of bullying.

    Sometimes I like his different take on things but just wish he was offering his observations after actually seeing the odd game or two live at the stadium. He's made it clear that's not possible so whilst I think most of what he posts is blinkered it's still relevant as there are plenty on here who contribute but aren't able to attend matches.

    For the record Phillips very much deserves his place this season and he is maturing and developing nicely as a footballer. Of course he has the odd game where he is less effective and he is still a work in progress. His main attributes are his physical strength allied with the ability to tackle strongly in the competitive area which is central midfield. Add to that his range of passing, stamina and an eye for goal and you have a very useful young player who will only get better. Unless you have witnessed first hand how his game has developed since he broke through into the first team then I guess it must be difficult to appreciate how far he has come. If he takes on board TC's advice about refueling and getting his body into the optimum condition then he can progress further as his weakness is his sometimes lethargic movement which seems to be more of mental agility issue which could come from not being at the actual peak of physical condition.

    I used to think the same about LL. Then he started on me. If you pay attention to his posts, he's actually quite abusive himself, often, - and most of it is uncalled for, sometimes coming from nowhere. I hadn't picked up on that when I used to defend him.

    There's also quite a difference between holding an opinion & displaying an unshakeable pattern that defies logic. The classic example is Wood. LL maintains he's always been crap, and his goals have been 'accidents'. As no humour ever accompanies such declarations, it's only fair to assume he means it. As for Phillips, you're spot on. LL however, has never seen him play, and tears him apart after every game. If there is a missed pass mentioned by a commentator, it's exploited. If Phillips scores, assists, does a cracking run or whatever - it's ignored. It's almost like a vendetta. He makes accusations without seeing what's really happening on the field. One oft-used criticism is that Phillips doesn't cover for Ayling when he's been caught upfield. He won't accept that Phillips' job also entails going upfield, and if he could see the whole pitch, he might even appreciate that Phillips is already tracking back with an attacking mid/striker. But that's always ignored. If something goes wrong, it's his fault Even if Viera or whichever partner he has is closer. Look at the Villa goal. Did you notice that it's Phillips fault for not making the tackle? Nowt to do with Pontus following up with a great tackle than unfortunately broke for them. Nowt to do with a stationary Roofe watching it all unfold - nope, got to be Phillips. Oh, and finally, his goals aren't accidents - they're 'lucky'.

    Read on, Jammy, or even read back. LL will not disappoint. He's had the same psychotic approach for a number of years now. It's just the hate list that changes on an annual basis.

    Hi Jammy... I don’t believe any of my posts are bullying? I could have quite easily got abusive after one very condescending post but I didn’t. LL dishes out as much as he takes, it certainly isn’t one way and I’m not the only one who is on the end of some cleverly worded posts that seem pleasant on the surface but have an undertone aimed at getting a heated response.

    I love different takes on things, WJ, LCW and a few of our friends from Ireland have all helped me to look at things differently over the years/months, from team related issues to other members on this board. In my opinion LL does not offer an alternative view, he offers a blinkered blinded view with no intent of debate, he believes say it enough and make the post lengthy enough and someone will take notice.

    However, your comments on Phillips are spot on <ok>

    You were a model of restraint Ristac which was an example to us all that it's possible to turn the other cheek and leave the debate in an orderly fashion.

    My personal view is that giving any poster a nickname that is clearly offensive is an unacceptable form of cyberbullying. So whether that be Bollockhead, Gloryhole, Jammyc**t/tw*t or whatever it's wrong to try to win the argument by labeling someone offensively.

    It wasn't my intention to defend LL above anyone else so perhaps I should have made that more clear in my initial post.

    Same as you I enjoy the contributions of just about everyone on this board but some are clearly just better ignored, especially if you know in advance there is absolutely no chance of them ever altering their stance.

    Agreed WJ.

    Have been reading LL posts for years now and in general I don't enter into debate with him because of the utter pointlessness of doing so.

    This post cracked me up... and maybe sums up what people are saying. Not ‘sorry you feel like that’ but ‘sorry you’re like that’

    Not ‘sorry i’ve Offended you’ but ‘sorry you’re an a*se’

    LL would split up from a partner with ‘it’s not me it’s you’

    It’s all good fun... it’s an Internet forum, i’ll Lampoon his ludicrously Entrenched position on things... and he can call me witless. When he says something that makes sense.., and he does when he’s not on his bandwagon... i’ll Agree with him. I won’t be bearing a grudge, whether he does is up to him. Same goes for any poster.

    Accept that this puppy Is never going to be housetrained. Getting angry about it is futile. Engage or don’t Engage but don’t expect a different outcome.

    I appreciate its difficult when there’s history, but life's Too short to get too wound up by some bloke typing bollox from his bedsit.

    Personally i’m always relieved to see there are people madder than me on the planet, that’s why I visit this asylum. :emoticon-0110-tongu
