Just at leeds station on the way back to sheffield for a few

Terrible game. Luckily Leeds are worse than us. SWP on for 90 mins creating nothing

Austin looks good and so did hoilett but if this is top of the table stuff then its pretty dire

I wouldnt want to be meeting tWatford or forest just yet

Had a nice fry up and met with Finglas and his bunch - full credit for flying in for that!

Still its 3 more points in the bag

thoroughly deserved, wasnt the most exciting game to watch but we were very effective. Ill take that in every away game.

Would still like to see us more positive from the start rather than play for a draw for 60 mins and then bring on better players but a win is a win.

A great result. I dont think many teams will win there this season. They were well organised.

Not the greatest performance but we ground out another win. Still lack that creative spark to unlock defences.

I thought Onuoha was our MOTM, but other notable points to make:

Barton - good passing, controlled the tempo of the game, slowing it down and frustrating Leeds. Clear goal ruled out for offside.
Austin - worked very hard indeed, but with little service really.

Been out all afternoon and up till now. Just watched the game back. My thoughts..........

    I like Simpson....very consistent.
Onuoha and Dunne look a strong pairing.
Clint is just fantastic..........so pleased for him and he's playing well too.
Barton is good at this level but still gives the ball away a little easily at times. Terrible decision to give him offside...good finish too. Great delivery for the goal.
Unlike some, I'm not convinced yet about Oneill.
I like Henry.........does the hard work sitting in and not too bad on the ball too.
SWP is working hard and not too bad at this level.
Hoilett, if we hang on to him, could be stunning in this division.
AJ never stops running and closing down. Like him.
Austin desperately, desperately needs a goal!! Like his all round play though. Looks a proper centre forward.
I thought Faurlin did ok when he came on and I really hope he can get back to being the player he was before his injury.

Overall, we're scrapping our way to some great results without really turning it on. Creativity is clearly missing, but maybe grinding out these great results is more important in this division.
Lastly, our travelling fans.........great to hear them in such good voice....."Paddy, what's the score?".........."We're Queens Park Rangers, we're top of the league".

    URrrssss!!

Good to meet you too A. We are not long back.

We had a brilliant but tiring day. I thought the first half was pretty even. The second half I thought we stepped it up and deserved our win. Hoilett coming on made such a difference. As people before me have said, the two centre halves were magnificient.

Nuts, I apologise for doubting Dunne's ability before he signed. Yes, he is a little slow with age but he has the heart of a lion and a good football brain. He is a rock. Clint and Simpson done well too. SWP was very average. That's being polite.

A little detail about our day. 5 of us went, 4 R's and 1 Leeds fan. When we boarded our flight in Dublin, it became clear we were in the minority as massive Leeds has about 80 fans on our flight. There was only one other R on our flight. We got a few scowls from the Leeds fans. We met one Leeds fan from Kerry (Tralee) who promised me that this would be the start of a glorious double for him as on Sunday, the Kingdom (Kerry) would beat my county, (Dublin) in the All-Ireland football semi final after Leeds had beaten QPR on the Saturday. I just smiled politely. When I seen the same lad in the airport afterwards, I just said, so how is the big double going?

We met the Leeds Manager Brian Mc Dermott in Leeds/Bradford airport after the match. He flew on the same flight as us. He is quite a nice chap. I shook his hand and said hard luck. All the Leeds fans were getting photos with him etc. One Leeds fan told me that Mc Dermott had said they deserved a draw at least. I thought we clearly deserved the three points based on our second half performance although the first half was quite even. That was my first away win since we beat Southampton 3-2 on 9th February 2008, five and a half years ago.

So, 13 points in 5 games is a great start. Lets see where we are after the Brum and Brighton home games.

Going to bed now. One wrecked but very happy R.

Fantastic effort Eamon............chuffed you saw a win.
I think WBA was a little harsh. This division is brutal and results like today's are priceless.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th!

You continue to amaze me Finglas.
    Great effort.
Dunne must stay fit. It's a big big ask but he will be massive (sorry couldn't resist that given our result today) for us. Onouha will grow beside him.
Personally, it's just great to see an Irish squad named with a QPR player in it again.

Really loved the fury when he turned on everyone because he had to sort out their mess. Best buy of the window so far IMHO.

Just to complete my story. I am sure you are all wondering who won the gaelic football semi final between Dublin and Kerry. Well, the Leeds/Kerry fan ended up having a miserable sporting weekend as my county, Dublin won. I must say it was a fantastic match. We were losing by a point with a minute and a half to go of normal time and ended up winning by 7 points. They are calling it the match of the decade over here. I also heard that Brian Mc Dermott was in attendance too. Commiserations to you Ciarrai. You should be very proud as your lads played their part in a fantastic match. Your county hasn't won 36 all-Ireland titles for nothing and you will win plenty more.

Munich, I never realised Finglas and Swords were now attracting international tourists like yourself. You went to see Eminem in Slane Castle? I hope you enjoyed it. I visited your city last July to see QPR play Augsburg. We had a great time.

Nuts and Corker, Dunne will only be dropped from that team now because of injury or suspension as he has played so well. It is indeed great to see an Irish man playing for us again. Harriman and Sutherland are in the U21 squad to play Germany in Sligo on 9th Sept (I think that date is correct). I know one very dedicated Irish R who is making the trip there hoping to see both of the lads play.

I was chuffed with the win too Col. Leeds have a huge fan base over here and I know so many lads who support them so to beat them in their backyard was very special to me personally.

Do weekends like this have to end?
