And we have Austin to come back sometime during the New Year.

I'd send Poleon back out on loan asap, not sure why we brought him back to be honest. Sign Becchio up on a new contract - he is second to none when we have other attacking play from midfield, and is left in no man's land when no-one supports him.

I've always liked McCormack and always considered that selling him would be a bad move, but if he opens up options and more funding for a real classy striker to partner Becchio or replace Tonge or Thomas if we can't secure them, I think I'd snap their hands off.

Given how well Byram has done, I wonder if we have any other youngsters who could actually step up and who are just not getting the opportunity solely because the players around them at the moment are not giving them the opportunity to shine.

I'm getting the impression that no sales will need to be made in order to fund new signings. Keeping McCormack AND getting a classy striker, and getting Tonge and Thomas or their replacements. That's the bare minimum for me. McCormack is a game changer off the bench and a top player from the start.

McCormack does seem the type to get pissed off if he's not in the team week in, week out though. Mind you, he has to earn his place, and with the way Diouf and Becchio are playing I think he'll have to be content with a place on the bench right now!

He's also the type of player to work his bollocks off to get his place back.

I'm not doubting that! Just saying I bet he's pissed that even Somma got off the bench before him today <ok>

I was surprised by that. Somma still coming back from injury it was a bold move by Warnock and it almost paid off. Sounded like while Somma was a bit rusty he still looked a threat.

We've got some real game changers on the bench now. Only need Ryan Hall back on there instead of Luke sodding Varney and we'll be very dangerous.

No-one's forcing you to like Elmo, but starting arguments can just ruin the thread for everyone else.

He could start an argument in an empty forum with no help from me.

Any way have a good Christmas Simon.

Boro are a good side and this was a big win. In fact for the first half hour they were the best team we have played this year.We hung in, got a goal and in the second half there was only going to be one winner.

That's what I expect from every Leeds game. As I said, if we get to the play offs (the minimum expected) then I'll increase the interest. Now move on to next week and the next week and the next etc

Not so much that, but 15 out of 18 points. A month ago we were in 18th position

    How remarkably dismal and negative.

We've won 5 from our last 6, what will it take for some people to feel positive and hopeful?

    Hope he's ok Elland.

Simon - don't worry about chippie, no-one else takes the slightest notice of him, and his posts just show why. Immaturity personified. <ok>
