he was waging a finger at someone. it was also late in the game so they did all get there. Now matip got there first as i recall so i'm sure they didn't sprint but to say nobody celebrated is not right. He was happy though so i hope it helps him. i think hitting them first time would be the big improvement.
Isn't kyle walker the lad who broke covid rules to drive to leeds/sheffield or some other god awful place?
he is driving them forward and holding the line up. its the key to everything with klopp. its not about speed to get back even its about having the balls to stay high and trust allison. It enables the press and the midfield to function. Leeds were destroyed. It would be easy with bamford picking dangerous places to run into the just drop off a bit and then the whole thing falls down. So yeah you are right, he is driving us.
Our back line is crucial in getting us up the pitch, compressing the space ahead and allows us to squeeze the opposition and put them under wave after wave of pressure. VVD and Matip are one of the best pairings in world football and have been for a while.
Typically, the left sided midfielder is the one who holds, defends and recycles possession (the Gini role), whilst the right side is the one that is more expansive. It seems like Naby is more likely to play the left side given that's where he started so far this season. Thiago can play either role - either sitting back or getting forward, he is influential in everything he does. Hendo can only play that right side role so he is nailed on there. I think we would get more from Jones playing that role on the right because he does like to get forward and he has a shot on him as well.
Just wait till Konate breaks through. I believe his vertical passing will be one of the weapons Klopp will unleash on the league with time.
all that will happen is he will ned up going outside not shooting though theres plenty of games starting with our single outing in the league cup this year for jones to make an impression.
Be Agree, the lads forward passing is brilliant and a proper weapon we can use to bypass the press. When the time comes
what about matip running ball on and creating the goal chance for salah and trent in the first place!
Hes so good at that and it often goes unnoticed, one of the best cbs in the prem for bringing the ball out with his feet into midfield, often taking one or two out with a go go gadget leg dribble
I've watched it again and again and again. Think Neville is a complete tit for saying it wasn't a foul - it clearly was, with that trailing leg that almost made it a scissor tackle. But I just can't see further than a booking. It's too much the Son/Gomes thing in the retrospective upping of the punishment because of the injury. Sorry.
the rules are crystal clear. its a tackle from behind. its a yellow. Its the knee thats done the damage. and while he is off the ground its not like he is dreadfully so. the difference between sliding in two footed, studs showing when you are on the ground nominally and this tackle is massive.
Love them. You can see the opposition going like is he really going to go all the way? One thing that people forget is part of our system us our defenders are part of the creative tools available. I wish Matip can whack one top bins against United and go full meme lord in his celebration
We have some wonderful playmakers at the back and that's not even including our full backs: - VVD is able to play those long balls - Matip is brilliant at carrying the ball out of defence and also playing along the deck - Gomez can also carry the ball but his short passing and passing through the lines is exceptional - Konate is a good all rounder. Can carry the ball but his passing is also top notch. Really hope we can keep them all fit.
The whole team was under a cloud after Elliott's injury. Obviously Mané himself was chuffed after all the chances he'd had but the team's celebration was generally muted. You also see that quite often anyway when a late goal is scored in a game already well won. I certainly wouldn't read anything more sinister into it.
maybe. compared to crocodile tears son's where he was up waving a finger at the ref claiming he didnt nothing before even looking at his handiwork the leeds lad made an honest effort and got up and was after the ball. If that's reckless that's fine and all that good stuff but I just don't think he went to foul our kid nor hurt him.
That's why intent was removed from the rules. Because you can still be dangerous to other players without intent.
