I'd be tempted to say it was the York game WJ given the line up, as we didnt start with any recognised centre halfs. Leeds: Miazek (Huffer 45), De Bock, Ideguchi, Vieira, Baker, Klich, Pearce, Clarke, Edmondson (Dalby 45), Shackleton, Stevens (Diaz 45). Subs not used: Rey. Viera definitely had a spell at CB in those friendlies, again that could just have easily been the York game. Diaz started the Ossett and Guisley games, hence why I think the York game is the most obvious choice for an unusual defensive line up
I remember De Cock playing CB in that match, where he actually played quite well compared to his LB debacles. Think Vieira started as CB too, or it might have been Klich, with the other at CDM. Think this might have been my first viewing of Bielsaball, hence the confusion of who was playing what position. The York match was the one that had my favourite Edmondson moment in it. He was a lot heavier then. A lot. Off the ball, he charged a huge CB & brought him to the ground. Totally uncalled for. Actually think they knew each other well, given the smiles, & given that York is where Edmondson came from. Got a good cheer from those that noticed it. Ball was at the other side of the park when the impact occurred. Magic!
99.9% of genuine Leeds fans would beg to differ on everything you’ve just said apart from the lacking pace
So would other clubs fans, one site as a thread which shows other fans forums and what they think before and after the game, I would say Phillips has the highest amount of praise from opposition fans than any one of our other players, perhaps more than all the others put together.
