Hmm, to me it really sounds like we have tried to be more attacking with the lineup with the personnel change but really its just made us weaker defensively
First 20 minutes we have had 1 shot on goal (it was off target) and they have had 7 - I hope this more attacking line-up starts to work sooner rather than later.
Well we just had a flurry of attack just then, I still don't think we will improve that dramatically without a change of formation, until then we are gonna continue to struggle to beat teams
Sadly with no available natural width or wide players the manager is going to have to stick with this kind of formation. I touched on why he spent his transfer budget on yet another central midfielder earlier, was he expecting to be backed more than he was, would he have signed Murphy had he known that would virtually be it I wonder?
To go above you next week as it stands we will need to beat you 3-0 which will be possible But do you think you can hang on to just 0-1 ?
Of course he was. A month ago the chairman said the board had given him the green light to sign a winger. Did they give him the money to do it though. Unlikely
keep dreaming mate Well he said that he could've signed Burke for the money Brum wanted but didn't think he was worth the money so said in his word that he was protecting the owners who aren't football people by not taking advantage of them. I kind of think that the same may have happened with Tommy Rowe
If we don't pull this one around and we lose next week to Millwall I think it will be more than the owners who need saving if he had the chance to sign a couple of player who would have made a difference and never. TBH what players are worth the money that is being paid at present and is £600k that much when it could be the difference between a play off and 10th
It wouldn't realistically be the difference between play-offs and 10th though, we are more than Burke away from being a play-off team imo.
