Full time. Another ****ing ****e, blunt performance from a Leeds that doesn't have a real goal threat. We need proper wingers, at least 2 of them, now.
Is it fair to say after two months of playing mainly ****e and creating nothing, this is as good as this team can be? It's understandable we're all hoping for a big improvement but without serious investment, it's clear it won't happen.
Wonder will that serve as a wake up call to gfh that with decent sustained investment, crowds may not return. People are more careful with their pennies and demand value for money. It'll take a big change in performance to attract back the non die hards
Think the rubbish crowd summed up the importance we put on a home tie in the FA Cup against Brum. If we'd been playing ManUre, Chelski, or someone similar, we'd have seen a proper sized crowd. C'est La Vie. At least we're still in the competiton, albeit only just. Let's hope for some positive news on the transfer window
The more I hear of the new directors the more convinced I am that they are aware of what needs to be done to get the club into a healthy position. It will take a little investment from them, but they may be relying on cutting the unnecessary costs elsewhere and waiting until the club builds up a little of it's own cash. It may be possible to get the club in a stable enough financial position to save up a little money provided they make sure no more fans turn their backs on the clubs, it may not be a case of making sure everybody returns straight away. I'd prefer them to take their time and do it right than spunk a load of money the club doesn't have
I have a feeling GFH wish to only invest what we make as a club, I really do not believe they have much money. Saying that it has to be an improvement on Bates but I do wonder how much hot air is blowing from GFH and when, if and how much action we shall see when it comes to purchasing players.
Very true. Just read a post from a Leeds fan somewhere who made a 600 mile round trip to the game and was embarrassed by attendance. Didn't sound like he'd be in a hurry to go again. Hard to blame him. I had hoped to take a spin over in about eight weeks with the two daughters but with money being tight, and value for money a priority, I don't think I'll be spending a wad of cash to sit in a half empty stadium with no atmosphere watching a bunch of disinterested journeymen. Up to the new owners now to provide us with a team we can be proud of. A word of warning to them though, sell becchio or Byram or both and you will be in danger of emptying Elland road for the foreseeable future
Well put Eire. It was still a shock to see what a low attendance it was. I realise that it was just after christmas etc etc, but I can't remember in recent times such a bad turn out. We won't go up with loanees and if the new owners do sell our top players, it'll show that they've no real ambition or enough financial clout.
