You can usually see early whether a player is any good, we have to accept that now and again their form will dip.

How are you getting on? I've had it a week and I'm starting to feel a bit better. No where near fit and healthy but a bit better every day. I slept for a full night last night and I feel so much better for it.

Woke up during the night coughing and nose running. Got up at half nine to two hours of blowing my nose and now got the runs both ends. Not got a temperature or a bad chesty cough. Still got sense of smell unlike covid in sept. Took a long time for it to come back.

    Afternoon all.

Just out of interest have any of you flu sufferers had this winters flu vaccination ?

Or in other words did you have it (the vaccine) and still catch the flu ?

I'm not old enough to have it mate. I had flu as a kid and it had me bedbound for a week. This bug was that bad for a couple of days and then I was able to crawl downstairs and stew in front of the telly. I've had this for a week and for 4 days I thought I was dying, proper out of body experience stuff.

It's now on my chest more than anything and I just feel a bit ropey. I had the runs a couple of days ago and once that stage is over it's a bit more bearable. Sounds like Wakey is a day or two behind me.

I've not had time off work for illness for over 10 years but I will have taken 3 days after tomorrow this week.

Another early night for me and another couple of pints of water to chug down.

I think I have got that, I don't feel anywhere near fit and healthy either but I don't think it is the flu <whistle>

Had the Flu Vaccine as I work with the elderly and managed my first bout of Covid about November time despite having three jabs.

Wife and everyone around me have had this new cold, I have so far escaped it. I swear it's because I have to use Budesonide nasal spray

When I had Covid I had an awful tummy, one minute I couldn't get off the toilet, next waves of nausea and the thought of certain foods left me feeling sick just thinking about it.

Tummy problems (Covid related) lasted 4 weeks, doctors said nothing they could do as it can last 3-4 months and you can't be seen for long Covid until 6 months have passed

It's certainly been a strange winter for bugs

Just a quick point the vaccines don’t stop you getting flu/covid etc they lessen the severity as they have built up your immunity.
